It feels like 2024 has been a challenging year for many people :-( You captured the restless tension that accompanies anxiety and unease really well, and you handled your ex's visit well under the circumstances. Deep and restful sleep is so refreshing. I'm glad you were able to drift off so easily. Writing truly is a cathartic mechanism for exploring and working through our feelings and emotions.
