RE: SPOILSPORT/ RAVE OUT.

Although you tell us about Jane's naughty behavior, and about her chasing you at your first meeting, still affection creeps into your tone. Jane has ruined Christmas dinner, but it seems she is irresistible. Your description of the kitchen disaster is vivid. One wonders, how did the dog get into the refrigerator?

The family's solution to the 'disaster' was fine. It seems everyone ended up having a lovely evening anyway.

There is one sentence at the end that perplexed us as we read it:

I'm going to take our relationship one step at a time though, to avoid stories that touch.

Perhaps you can explain what it means.

Thank you for sharing this Christmas memory. It is sort of memory that will surely stay with you for a lifetime.

Thanks for your comment, I appreciate. Most dogs can open a refrigerator door just fine. You know they are really smart animals, and Jane being a boerboel, she has the height to accomplish the task.

"To avoid stories that touch" my bad, I should have been more explicit. It simply means to avoid stories that would elicit regretful memories like say maybe, one gets bitten or scratched because I rushed our getting to know each other well.

I'm always on the lookout for your comments, it means a lot to me and it has helped me improve my writing greatly. Thank you.
