A story about a man stuck in a coma who thinks he is living each day yet is still aware that something is not quite right. It had the makings of a decent story and some interesting bits, if a little predictable. Although you had a fair amount of dialogue in this story, be careful not to dump too much backstory into narrative. It deprives the reader of the joy of discovery when everything is simply told to them. Also, I wonder how he managed to carry on with an everyday in-person relationship with his fiancee, when he works in NYC and she works on the other side of the country in Los Angeles. This was a definite break in logic for me. Fact checking your story is an important part of research. Make sure that what you are writing is possible, otherwise you will lose your reader.
