It seems everyone in this story is driven by excess of some kind. The kidnappers only want to drink. The protagonist wants to eat more than he wants anything else. This is a hilarious premise and a really clever take on the prompt run. In the future, this young person will likely be obliged to do a lot of running in order to work off extra calories.
