In the beginning of this story, the conflict appears to be between the Sumarni and Tio, but the conflict is actually in the backstory to the current day. So there is nothing to resolve in the present day story. It seems like the addition of a bit of conflict between the couple, which is then resolved in the end, would make this story even stronger.
