Belief is an interesting concept. Many people think about religion when the word belief comes up, but we believe in different things. Sometimes these things are just as strong, or even stronger than religion. It was a nice, light touch at the end of your story when you wrote, that Anne believes in the people, the gifts and 'the food'.

Thanks, I wanted to portray that some beliefs are not about the supernatural or religious, rather something simplistic as to what they believed was right or the symbol instead of the content.
I'm not an atheist myself but I find it interesting on how people like that view belief, of course I only wrote the story to touch a shallow surface of atheism.
