Chaos In Time

"What have I done?"
"Look, sir. It's working!" Jane screamed joyously, pulling Max out of his misery.
Max quickly stood up and looked around as everything froze and the gap in time began to close. He turned and looked around, people from the mediaeval times disappeared one after the other. And only the present remained.

Our path crossed in the hospital

"The university has extended the payment deadline by a week. I hope you will be able to pay before the expiration of the new deadline," James informed me.
"I don't think that I will be able to continue with my studies again. The priority of my family now is to raise money to take care of my father. My university education is secondary now," I responded to him.
As soon as I dropped the call, a man who had been leaning against his car, eavesdropping on my conversation, walked up to me.
"What is the challenge with you, young man?" He asked me.

Higgledy-Piggledy Chaos

"Hey, look at this," he said, holding up an old recipe book. "Found this buried under a bunch of junk. You remember your mom used to make that crazy apple pie recipe from here?"
Elise grinned, lost in reverie. ‘Oh I remember,’ she said musingly and took the book from him. She leafed through the tattered leaves and a tinge of nostalgia crept into her heart. ‘She had no issues with the kitchen being in chaos so long as the pie was good.’
Nathan laughed. “See? Your mother really did understand the priorities. Maybe we’ve been stressing out over the wrong things.”

“I have an idea.” Beau’s eyes twitched like a light bulb. “You know that vault of dreams. The one from the tale? We can start there. If dreams are saved there, perhaps we can find some leads.”
“Do you really believe that our dreams are saved?” Amari creased her brows.
“Of course. How do you think we got here?”
“So how do we get in? They say that it is a secret chamber in the city’s library.”
“Tada!” Beau waved a bunch of keys at Amari. “Admit it. You love an adventure. Let’s go.”

Sour Juices

ne evening, I mustered courage and asked my dad.
“Daddy, why do you dislike my mother?” I asked, with an unusual boldness.
“What kind of useless question is that?” My dad said, shocked.
“You punished me for eating the biscuits my mother bought for me. Why?”
“Look here boy, if you ask me stupid questions again, I will…”
“Punish me again…” I interrupted.

Surviving in chaos

Quira and Peco followed the snakes' path until they saw them enter a dry thicket.
They did the same as the snakes and found a crevice through which they crawled until they reached a cave filled with crystal clear water, they continued and this time Peco also heard the screeching of his children. They were in a labyrinth of caves, which they were marking with slabs they found on the ground, to know the way back because they had already found the way out.
