LOVE & FEAR

“Baby you said you wanted to talk to me about something”. He asked hoping his voice didn’t betray the nervousness he was trying to hide.
“Yeah…I don’t know how to say this….I’m not certain yet…it’s probably nothing but I just wanted to give you a heads up” she responded avoiding his gaze the entire time.
“What’s up?? What’s wrong?” He asked leaning out of his seat now.
“I haven’t seen my period yet, and I’ve been feeling a little funny…I think I’m pregnant” she said, her voice tinier than it usually was.
“You’re what??” - @egboncass

The Lepre-Con

Of all the things she expected today, she did not think that having her heart strings tugged by a leprechaun who wanted to change her life - would be at the top of the list. Why not? Life could be a mess, but why not guarantee a little good luck to come along with the bad? She shoved her hand in front of the tiny green man.
"Deal."
His face lit up. "Deal?!"
"Sure, let's work ourselves out of this insufferable place."- @stormcharmer

A Strange Anniversary

For some reasons I couldn't sleep. I kept hearing voices in my head, was hard to tell if I was dreaming or not. I forced my eyes open and noticed that Jack wasn't by myside. The large clock that hung next to the Tv indicated 1am. I got up from bed and went in search of Jack.
"Jack!" I echoed his name as I made my way to the kitchen then to the parlor.
"Oh My God Jack, What is going on here."
"Mrs houston, nice of you to Join us."
"Who are you and what are you doing in our house?" - @doubleworld

The blossoming of the century

image.png

In midst of the confusion a sudden sweet aroma pierced through the fight, a delicate fragrance that they had never smelled in their lives.
"THE HEART!!!" One of the scholars, now with some missing tooth and a black eye screamed.
The conflict immediately stoped and all heads turned back to the plant. The smell was gone and so was the bulb, in it's place a decayed mound with some small protuberance remained, exactly like the texts and drawings describe it would be after the blossoming. - @trashyomen

DAREDEVIL

Gretchen! What was that for?" Amber asked, feeling wronged.
Laughter boomed in the forest, causing birds and insects to panic into hiding. Slowly but surely, an eye appeared on the body of the tree, a woody blank stare that possessed no irises or scleras.
"Nothing, your highness. Just watching..." The shaky voice came from the tree.
"Watching? You mean watching I fall to my death?" Amber folded her arms against her chest. Her bright violet irises surround by unusual yellowish rings.
"Of course not, your majesty. Besides, you alone are the master of surprises." The voice echoed, light and powerful.- @deraaa

A Space in Time

Jolt, you say, what? But, that’s what it felt like, so who am I to make up fine words when a few ordinary ones will do? Who, indeed?
Yes, well, after “the nothing” there was something, and it was sublimely extraordinary. I spiraled through decades, millennia; scooted like a bolt of electrons across the universe (uninspiring as it was) back to earth, the year 2035, wow! Not bad for a man deprived of chemical simulants for a year before departure. Good, I’d say, damn good! -@itsostylish

The Cherry Blossom

image.png

Source

Morsa raised me in her seaside manor which always smelled like sweets and citrus, the skies were always perfect with a tint of red, and the gardens had flowers from every part of the world which was perfection.
I always felt at peace in the garden, maybe that is why I was named after a flower, Morsa's favorite one; “ a cherry blossom” which Morsa said fit me perfectly because I was a flower waiting to blossom but, I never understood what she meant by that.- @khaleesii
