Felix and Fiona have been married for a very long time and was blessed with three children, Troy the twin brother of Trevor and their younger sister Tracy. Felix and Fiona are peasants farmers and also Felix being a hunter, they rear animal and uses Agriculture as a means of livelihood for there family.
Though they’re not financially buoyant, but they have a lovely and peaceful family and also have food on there table 24/7.......Felix loves going for hunting with his two sons “Troy and Trevor”.
One Saturday Morning, Felix woke up so early and prepared for a hunt in the woods with his two sons..... when they reached to the woods where they normally hunt.

Troy: Dad....
Felix: shhhhhh, you have to be quiet so that the animals won’t notice our presence. A good hunter hunts in a serene environment for him to make a perfect catch. You boys should wait for me here and don’t go away from this spot.
They sat down beside a big tree and was waiting for there father, and when there was no trace of the father, Troy complained of being tired and wanted to play. As they were playing in the woods, they heard a strange voice and decided to know where the voice was coming from, and on getting there, they saw a cave of which the main entrance is covered with thick darkness.
Troy is so fearless and wanted to go and check out the cave but was stopped by Trevor, he insisted on going to see for himself but was drawn back by Trevor when he reminds him about the advice that was give to them....
“Dad told us not to leave the spot he left us and now you’re trying to go inside a cave that it’s entrance is covered with thick darkness. He reminded Troy about the story there mom told them about Caves and how Evil Witches lived there many centuries ago, after being convinced by Trevor, they ran back to there spot and not long after they returned to the spot Felix came back with a gigantic grasshopper which he have killed.” Troy and Trevor was so excited seeing the big catch made by there dad and they all left woods to there house.
They always enjoy seeing there father butcher the animals he killed from a hunt and while he was doing it, Trevor asked him for a favor...
Trevor: Daddy please get me a costume of creepy clown for Halloween..
Troy: Dad, I want Grim Reaper costume for the Halloween.....
Felix Accepted to get it for them but decided to tell them a story about the Halloween and the woods. They’ve never spent the Halloween outside there home and would love to visit the neighboring village where there will be a big burn fire for the Halloween celebration.
“The road which leads to the neighboring village passed through the woods and Witches were believed to have lived in the woods centuries ago, thereby making there dangerous during the Halloween period. He never wanted them to go but he have to accept there plea and do what will make them happy.....not knowing what the outcome of them going out alone during the Halloween period will result to.”
Two days before the Halloween, Felix and Fiona thought Troy and Trevor how to make a jack o lantern using a pumpkin, and also gets there costumes ready for the Halloween celebration. There parents told them stories of the previous Halloween they’ve celebrated before they were born and warned them to be careful out there.
They accept but will do what they want anyway,.....they hardly move or go out without each other and normally do everything together even when one is against the idea, he will later find himself doing that same thing because of the connection between them as twins.
Felix and Fiona costumed there twins very early for them to be able to reach the neighboring village before it gets too dark. Tracy wanted to follow them but she was still young and couldn’t walk such a far distance, she cried bitterly but stopped crying when Trevor Promised to bring Chocolates for her when coming back. As they were about to go, there parents reminded them about the woods, telling them not to go inside the woods but just to follow the road provided for travelers and they accepted and left.

On there way to the Village and walking through the only road in the woods which leads to the village. Troy heard a voice again but acted as if he didn’t hear anything, he heard the voice for about three times and by the third time, he Told Trevor to escort him to check it out, Trevor being afraid reminded Troy about the advices given to them by there parents and while he was still trying to convince him, Troy started moving into the woods and he had no other choice than to follow him as he can’t allow him to go there alone.

On getting to the cave where the Sound was coming from, they saw a big black cat and decided to follow the cat, they followed the cat into the cave, and on entering the cave, the cat was nowhere to be found and at the process of looking for the cat in the cave, they lost there way. While walking round the cave with no destination, they heard the the strange voice again, but this time, the voice seemed close to them and the sound was just like that of an old woman.
They heard the sound from a distance, coming close to them faster than they expected and behold a witch riding on her broom. They were captured by the witch and was taken to her home where she locked them in a big cage....... Trevor was crying and so scared while Troy scolded him, accepting to be the cause of them being in danger. During the night when the Moon is out, the witch came back to them, she asked of there names and they told her... ....she told them not to be afraid her while she opens the cage for them.

They spent lots of time with the witch forgetting there journey to the neighboring village, and also played with the big black cat which they later realized that it is owned by the witch...... she is a good witch and doesn’t engage in evil activities like some other Dreaded witches.
She decided to take them out for a ride on her broom around the moon and the the skies. After a long night celebration of the Halloween with the witch, she decided to take them home. Of which She brought them back safely and with joy and happiness in there face and heart, this year Halloween have been a remarkable one for them though it was there first.
They decided not to tell there parents that happened in the woods.
They removed there costumes when they got home and entered there room to sleep without locking the Window of their room.... they were so excited and happy but when they noticed that there mother was coming to check on them, they pretend to have been asleep as she reached for the Window and immediately saw a big black cat clinging on the side of the window... Fiona was so happy on seeing the cat.... she called for her husband to come and see what she saw which is not against there believe unlike others who believes that cats are evil.
Felix entered the room to know why Fiona called him and on entering the room, he saw the cat and both of them were excited.....Fiona brought the cat inside and locked the windows.
In the Morning, Felix and Fiona called for there Children to tell them the significance of the cat they saw last night.
Felix: “Black cats serves as symbols of good luck in Any household they enter during the Halloween, But some people believe that it represents a symbol of bad lucks. And dead
witches reincarnate to a black cat.” But Fiona
and Felix believe was different from those who
condemned black cats..... they believed that Black cats are no different than any other cat are no different than any other cat and it brings love and companionship to their owners and the house they’re in.
Felix is already prepared for the day’s hunt, he calls out for Troy and Trevor to be fast. They came out carrying there fathers hunting equipments and a trap, as they leave, fiona waved them goodbye and prayed for there safety.
Felix allowed Troy and Trevor to move around the woods with him in search of a big catch and on the process of inspecting the woods for a catch, Felix’s leg was displaced by a hole on the ground, on bending down to check if he sustained any injury, he discovered that something was hidden on that ground.
He called his Sons and asked them to dig the big hole while he still maintained silence hoping to see any lost animal to take down. As Troy and Trevor was digging the ground, Troy’s machete hits on the unknown box which was buried there, Felix got more interested in it and decided to help his kids out..... and while digging it he found out that it’s a very big box and when he brought it out, he broke the padlock and on opening it, Behold, it is a box of treasuries.... he carried it home and showed it to his wife.
Fiona: “I knew that the cat was not ordinary, I thought that the cat lost his way but now I understand how it works. The cat is our cat of redemption, it served as our helper and it brought riches to our poor Home.”
Troy and Trevor still kept what happened in the woods on the day of Halloween secret and thereby Making there family look whole and they lived so happily in a big home and also as a rich family.
Tracy later took the cat as her pet of which she always plays with him and also give the cat attention because cat in general always seeks attention and likes been treated like a baby.
