Obi was 15 years old; he lived with his parents and his younger ones, who were in primary school. He was in senior secondary 2 and was the beautification prefect. Obi was given the post at school because he was the neatest person in school. His hostel was the neatest and most arranged. Everyone in school knew that he was going to get the post before it was time to assign posts because right from his junior secondary 1, he never for once wore dirty or rumpled clothes. And because of that, everyone respected him, including the teachers.

It was the end of the school term, and Obi went home himself. The journey was usually a stressful one as he had two boxes and a bag, and the condition of public transportation didn't make it any easier the way the bus conductors packed people like sardines into a bus so they could earn reasonable money. Thank God he could roll his boxes.

After a stressful journey, obi finally reached home. He dragged his boxes to the gate tired, he leaned and knocked on the gate. “Brother Jeffrey," he called for the gateman.
“Obi, you are back," Jeffery recognized Obi's voice with excitement.
Jeffery opened the gate and welcomed him. “Small oga," he said as he helped Obi with his bags.
Obi had a tired laugh; he didn't like the nickname ‘small oga,’ but Jeffery always used it to taunt him.
Obi entered the house with Jeffrey dragging his box behind. Obi looked around as the house was unusually quiet.

Then he remembered, it was Wednesday, his parents had gone to work and his sister was in school.
Jeffery went back to his gate post while Obi carried his things to his room. He smiled and took a deep breath as he stood outside his room with one hand on the nob. He was very happy to be back home and have his room again; although his hostel was the neatest and most arranged in school, it wasn't still up to his standard.

He opened the door just to see the worst surprise ever. His room was upside down, everything was just Higgledy-piggledy, and someone was sleeping on his bed.
He didn't panic but walked slowly so as not to wake the stranger up, he went closer so he could see the face.
“Uncle Clinton," he said under his breath on seeing the face of the person lying on his bed.
Clinton was his dad's youngest brother. Obi kept his things at the door and went to check the guest room because he didn't know if he could stay in a room in that state. The guest room was not in any better condition; there were sac bags and luggage, and there was no space left, even on the bed.
Obi went back to his room. After a long look at the room, he took his bath, changed into his house clothes, and took a nap on the couch.

“Obi," his mom said as she woke him up.
He woke up rubbing his eyes, he took a long nap. It was evening and his sister and parents were all back.
“Mom good evening," he said.
“Come and eat; I didn't want anyone to disturb your sleep," she said.
“Brother Obi!" Lily, his younger sister, said excited as she ran and hugged him like it was the first time she saw him.
"Smallie, how are you?” He said as he rubbed her head.
"You guys should come to the dining, your dad will soon come out,” his mom said as she went to the dining.
"Uncle, good evening,” Obi greeted his uncle, who was sitting at the dinner table.
"Yh, how is school?" His uncle answered him
“It is good," Obi replied

“I said I would tell you but forgot, your uncle came last week and will stay with you till next week Sunday," his mom said
“That is all right; I already saw him when I got back," Obi said as he gave a subtle smile, hiding his disapproval.
"Dad, good evening,” Obi greeted his dad, who walked into the dining room.
"Obi, how are you, how was school?" His dad asked him as he sat down
“It was all right," Obi answered.
Then his mom came out with the remaining food and dished for everyone.

Obi's first three days with his uncle were horrible for him, but he kept on arranging after his uncle. After some time, he noticed that his uncle was emulating some of his habits and wasn't all that disarranged again.

The day his uncle Clinton finally left, obi missed him because they really got along but he was still happy that he could finally get him room to himself.
