Some announcements and AMA for a further CryptoBrewMaster plans

in Cryptobrewmaster3 years ago

As we mentioned before in a statement we cancel supporting any of the Hive Engine tokens from 1.11.2021

🚫‼❌Hive Engine is not HIVE
❤💥 Game remains on Hive and we doing our best to promote the Hive Blockchain

Here's the roadmap for the upcoming changes

  • 25.10.21 Monday: Cryptobrewmaster stops deposits and withdrawals from and to Hive Engine, tokens that are in the circulation on the Hive Engine accounts can be deposited into the @cryptex24 without any limits till 1.11
  • All in-game tokens or tokens deposited to the exchange can be swapped to the new Aeneas Based tokens, that can be used in-game or traded on the exchange without any limits
  • From 1.11 @cryptex24 stops any Hive Engine deposits
  • any questions, suggestions, and problems regarding the migration can be discussed in the CryptoBrewMaster Discord

We listened to our players, who see the "limitations" to trade on @cryptex24, and we will look into the possibilities to list tokens on other chains and DEXs however, the KYC procedure on @cryptex24 for any deposits, withdrawals, and trade is not necessary for any citizens, worldwide

We already spoke with SPK network team, as they planning to launch their DEX and Tokens service, which we are going to use in the future as well to be closer to the Hive community before the Hive mainnet will launch smart contracts and tokens.

Pub demand changes, and Aeneas Influence usage

Our local pub is overwhelmed, and due to this, we promote the limitations on a beer selling to the pub

From 1.11 each 1 Influence card stored in your inventory will give the user permission to sell 1 beer in 1 week!

Please make sure you have enough influence to trade as much as you plan!

We also plan to run an AMA session before the end of October and our CEO will try his best to answer the community questions and reveal further plans!

The run around on the Engine thing is very strange. We were given the reason that it's too centralized (it's run by elected witnesses), then in the Ocean Planet chat, I was told that it's because the devs don't like decentralization (having the option to use or create multiple api endpoints for reaching the chain)

Nobody gives us a real reason the USA customers are being told that our only current option is to violate the terms of a little-known CEX if we want to keep on with these tokens. We get obvious untruths instead. Our tokens are being taken away from a decentralized blockchain, and forced onto a centralized exchange where we cannot reach them unless we are willing to violate the terms of that exchange - but after making that decision the team is considering new methods. Does owning our crypto not seem important to the c24 team? Is it really just an after thought to be considered after users complained that you were taking it away from us?

Saying obviously untrue things, and forcing all players to use your own exchange is really, really shady. Until the c24 team can sort themselves out, I will be distancing myself from these games and advise others to do the same

Interesting take. luckily im in Canada, so I don't have to deal with the TOS. But I completely agree with not "owning" our stuff. It's really hard to trust small CEX after losing so much to others in the past.

Hope they find a better alternative. If not, I'll still stick around to see how things roll out.

I was told that it's because the devs don't like decentralization

proof, please

It's in the Ocean Planet chat (unless they edited or deleted it). I think the username was geng? something like that. Stated that the reason c24 team would not consider using a node other than api.hive-engine.com (it's really only useful for supporting old and slow sites, not dapps) instead of one of the better performing public api nodes run by the other witnesses (with fewer limitations) or standing up their own api is because they'd rather focus on making games than figuring out which api nodes to use. Having a variety of api nodes available and having the ability to stand up your own is a core part of decentralization. To say that you will not use any technology that allows you to choose different api nodes means you won't be using anything that allows for decentralization. By definition, if there is only 1 api node and nobody else can make one, that is a centralized system. According to geng, this is the only kind of system c24 wants to work with

look, HE is layer 2 with a button in hands of their team, they already blocked us twice, we got sick of this(
all the tokens are heading to another chain, if you don't want to store them in-game or on c24, you can store them in the Aeneas wallet or Sapien wallet which is noncustodial as well.

We plan to launch tokens on different chains and consider our launch on the SPK network as soon as they are ready.

nobody tried to lie, geng doesn't speak English well, and there was some kind of a language barrier)

But even in that case, he didn't mention that he loves centralization, in that way we wouldn't be a part of the Hive community for years and didn't hold our proxy stake)

Are you referring to api.hive-engine.com "the button" and "blocking"? That is one person's api node - and yes, he does have control over that one node. Anybody can create an api node. There are other public api nodes available

Maybe nobody tried to lie, but we get conflicting stories and strange, vague explanations as to why US customers are being put in this position. If you want to fix it - be clear. What is this button that you reference? geng only mentioned the difficulty using one of the available api nodes, but we repeatedly hear c24 representatives refer to the hive engine chain as centralized, or that it "has a button in the hands of their team". The closest thing I can think of is that they own the SWAP.* namespace for tokens, but that doesn't make any sense for what you're saying

you can store them in the Aeneas wallet or Sapien wallet which is noncustodial as well

Being able to withdraw tokens to a chain instead of an CEX would be a much better solution. A huge part of the issue is you've replaced a decentralized blockchain with a CEX - not just any CEX, but your CEX. At the same time, we're getting vague statements, conflicting statements, and USA customers being put in a very bad position

You clearly understand that multi-chain is the way. You are very correct about that. However, if the c24 team is going to drop a chain every time they have difficulty with a single api node, then my confidence isn't being bolstered. Players would be constantly trying to figure out how to not lose tokens abandoned on no-longer supported chains. This is why knowing what is happening matters

For me, a good solution would involve disclosing the technical reasons support for a chain is being dropped (they'd have to be really good. Multi-chain is the way). Not just "we got an error", but what error? What actually happened?

What do we do with left over ash in hive Engine now?

ah - here it is. By "locks" he was referring to that time before the chain was decentralized when c24 was on the "exchange" list and couldn't receive tokens. It's decentralized now, so witnesses would have to agree to an alteration to the smart contract to make that happen today. Very different situation than before. After talking about that, he went on to the rate limiting on mancer's api node

ss.png

This is really a big misunderstanding. If rate limiting was the problem and if that node was creating issues. We have a bunch of other nodes for Hive Engine that can be used. You can have your own node too for your tasks. The data is going to be anyways on-chain. If you have challenges in creating and maintaining a node, I also offer that as a service. You can contact me.

It is also not a hard task to create an intermediate app that will rotate nodes based on availability. I have done that for my apps as well. Also, this is a blockchain feature and not something specific to Hive Engine alone. @rollie1212.

Hive will also have a similar concept. That's why people rotate their nodes and use them. If it is blockchain, this concept is very common.

I can't understand now what happens to healing tokens ?, Stakes.

The Cryptex24 policy seems to state that they do not do business with people in the USA.

https://storage.googleapis.com/cryptex24/docs/cryptex24-aml.pdf

According to our AML Policy, Cryptex24 does not work with Iran, Sudan, Syria, Democratic
People’s Republic of Korea, the USA, USA territories: United States Minor Outlying Islands,
Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Island, and the US Virgin Islands (St.
Croix, St. John and St. Thomas).

I look forward to seeing what this means to my ASH earned from blogging.

Could someone place some influence cards for sale out on NFTMart?

Influence cards are available in the shop.

Thanks for the info. I am working on unstaking some ash and looking at conversion rates in the different DEX exchanges.

I have a few, which one would u like?

Thanks for the offer I ended up figuring out how to turn some of my crypto into ASH and bought the nano pack in the shop.
I wrote an article on how to accomplish that task.
https://peakd.com/ash/@ijat/cryptobrewmaster-adding-influence-to-your-account-to-sell-beer-to-pub

In regards to influence, do they count if they are locked up in ASH farm? Or do they have to be actually in the counter??

Podrían hacer las traducciones para la comunidad hispanohablante?

You can always deposit your CBM in game from Hive Engine, especially in the US.

Not any more.

So what do i do with my ash from hive engine? This is more complicated than it should be.
