Hello women from all around the world,

I discovered this community almost by accident, and I have to say it's quite interesting. I think it's wonderful to have a place here on Hive where we women can discuss fashion and clothing—one of my favorite passions, for better or for worse. It's where I end up spending a good chunk of my paycheck, unfortunately. But I'd like to share a little story about how I've recently learned to buy second-hand products.
For example, this beautiful dress that I took with me on vacation when I visited the Amalfi Coast this summer. Some might consider it a bit retro, and indeed, I have to tell you that I found it at a small thrift market. It was practically brand new, never used.

I bought this dress because, even though I'm quite young, I like these dresses that are reminiscent of the 50s and 60s, which were the years of my mother's youth. In fact, I got this dress because I have a memory—I even have a photo—of her wearing this type of dress.

I've become quite fond of these thrift markets, but if you visit Italy, there are also some shops that specialize in selling high-quality second-hand items. Just imagine, I got this dress for only €5, thanks to a dear friend who accompanied me to this place. Unfortunately, I probably had this idea in my head that these places only had stuff that was really worn out and meant to be thrown away, but sometimes you can find great deals like this.

I'm noticing—at least in Italy, but I'm not sure about other parts of the world—that vintage fashion is making a bit of a comeback. I must say I quite like it, not least because I feel a strong connection to the values of those years.

What do you think of this dress?

I hope you liked the photos I shared. See you in my next post, and in the meantime, I'll be checking out the posts you've published here with great interest.
