Siempre que hay temporadas de premios o que Taylor hace apariciones publicas seguidas surgen los comentarios diciendo que se viste feo, que no tiene estilo, que es aburrida y la cosa es que la gente no entiende que ella no se viste con propositos fashionistas y nunca lo ha hecho, no esperes algo disruptivo a lo Lady Gaga o Chappelle Roan ni tampoco muy a la moda y perfecto como te lo daria Zendaya, porque Taylor simplemente no es así.
Creo que el principal problema es que su estilo no es ni el mejor ni el peor y eso a las personas en esa industria les choca un poco, pero todo esto es sumamente pensado, como les decia no es con proposito fashionista pero no es con desproposito, porque creanme (soy swiftie desde su primer album) que esta mujer no hace nada sin proposito, siempre quiere decir algo o implicar algo en su manera de vestirse. En este orden de ideas, dentro de las cosas que Taylor quiere proyectar es esa estetica de "chica de al lado", de muchacha normal (aunque cargue 100.000 usd encima) y aquí siempre se ha servido de diferentes esteticas, como lo fue durante bastante tiempo la "old money", que ha mutado a lo que se inspira un poco en la "dark academia"
Whenever there are award seasons or Taylor makes back to back public appearances the comments come up saying that she dresses ugly, that she has no style, that she is boring and the thing is that people do not understand that she does not dress for fashion purposes and never has, do not expect something disruptive like Lady Gaga or Chappelle Roan nor very trendy and perfect like Zendaya would give you, because Taylor is just not like that.

Vimos como para The tortured poets deparment incluyo muchos corsets y blanco y negro, en la era de Lover tuvimos colores pasteles incluso hasta en el cabello, con reputation tuvimos a Taylor platinada y vistiendo mucho negro y estampado de cuadros, o en debut con su estilo mas "country" con rizos y botas vaqueras, entre otros ejemplos, pero ha sido así con toda su discografía. Asimismo, otra constante en el estilo de Taylor todos estos años, han sido algunos diseñadores como Stella McCartney, Vivienne Westwood, Alexander Mcqueen.
Una cosa que destaca de todo su estilo, es que a esta mujer NO le gustan los pantalones, siempre la veras en vestido, en falda, en short pero en pantalones es muy dificil que la veas, especificamente en los ultimos años, no se que porque, pero no son sus prendas favoritas y si yo tuviera esas piernas la verdad tambien me vestiria sin ellos siempre. Y como prendas complementarias, las botas de caña alta y los blazer oversize se volvieron sus aliados, como la hemos visto vestir ultimamente en los partidos de los Kansas City Chiefs.
Another purpose for which Taylor uses clothes is to promote the “eras” that accompany her albums. One thing that stands out from all her style, is that this woman does NOT like pants, you will always see her in dresses, skirts, shorts but in pants is very difficult to see her, specifically in recent years, I do not know why, but they are not her favorite garments and if I had those legs the truth is that I would also dress without them always. And as complementary garments, high boots and oversize blazers became her allies, as we have seen her wearing lately in Kansas City Chiefs games.
Creo que al final a pesar de tener estilistas y tanto dinero, Taylor usa lo que le gusta sin necesidad de complacer a las personas del medio y por esto mismo puede servirse de su ropa para transmitir mensajes.
