The Old Crew (Part 2)

Good day Everybody!

Here is the second part of my old crew blog. This time, the photo was taken year 2012, November 1st. As I have mentioned in Part 1, 2008 to 2009 we were only three. Now come late 2010, we met new friends and we started to grow in numbers.

We were skating our "bodega" spot and three guys riding one motorcycle without helments approached us, they are studying in the college school nearby, and I think they saw us skating as they were passing by.I could not remember their names so we named them "burungkols", the other two guys did not get to skate as often because they live far but Czar really skated a lot and is more eager to learn tricks and get better, and he is great now. Even better than me.

We met Enteng through Michael, and how they met I never knew. Michael just came and said he has a new recruit from the same Highschool I graduated from, a beginner that wants to try skateboarding. So me and @toffer just welcomed him to the crew because we did not have any new members at the time. Enteng came in with two other guys but those two I did not even remember their names did not skate as much and we never saw them again.

Enteng stayed with us until 2011, then we met Harold riding his board, we were about to move to another spot and we just bumped into each other. Harold was the real deal, young skate prodigy with unlimited potential. He was 12 at the time and Michael saw how good he was when he landed his first kickflip on a couple of tries.

During the same time, we met Ariel, he was also a beginner and as soon as I saw him, I knew he had a great style and a natural talent to skate, He learns tricks fast but knows his priorities in life. I think Michael is also the one who told him to skate with us. He then introduced us to Nyong, his neighbor that wants to try skating. Then it is like a snowball effect of people coming in.

At some point at that time also, we were skating at the Antipolo plaza spot then Michael spotted two guys skating. They were Danico and Ivor. Michael invited them to skate with us. That being said, Michael also spotted a boy skating down the streets nearby to his house. He invited him to skate with us also, and that boy was Drex. Michael would have been and HR manager if he wanted to. haha. he had talent in recruiting people. hahah

In 2012 we were loaded with new guys. Michael was the one leading the sessions because me and @toffer had school and jobs and we skated only on Fridays and Saturdays. the new guys was eager to learn tricks and skated whenever they had time, but I could not join them or teach them because of school.

This was the great years of the TWS crew. So much memories and moments to remember.
