Greetings!
A few days ago I started to get so frustrated with my Food Chain Nature deck that I stopped using it entirely for a day. Seeing a user renting on Lootrush I finally decided to rent the cards that I think is the missing link to make me stay at Auric Gold. Auric Gold has been my target rank to stay these past few weeks. My Food Chain Nature deck briefly brought me to Auric Gold and Solar Gold. But just like my previous decks that brought me to Auric Gold and Solar Gold, my Food Chain deck also has a losing record.
The missing link
When I researched for top decks at GUdecks I saw numerous Food Chain decks at Mythic utilizing Underbrush Boar and Wind-Up Roller. I don't have these cards, so, it makes me think that if I am going to add them to my Food Chain deck it will perform better and can make me stay at Auric Gold or even at Solar Gold. With that being said, I went to Lootrush and rented both of them.
Trying out the new deck
I made a new Food Chain deck with my newly rented cards, I also added Vanguard Axewoman for the first time in a Food Chain Nature deck that I created.
I immediately tested the new deck on Ranked. I don't usually test a new deck that I created on CASUAL. I mostly and immediately test it at RANKED battle because it is where the real competition is. My starting rank is Midnight Shadow, I went 5-0 effectively promoting me to Auric Gold.
At Solar Gold and a new achievement
I am not expecting to win more games on this rank because I saw that the Food Chain decks on Mythic are gone (via GUdecks). But my target is only Auric Gold so I still went on. The victories of my newly created deck at Midnight Shadow is kind of easy. But at Solar Gold all my victories are hard fought.
To my surprise, I finally won more games than I lose on Auric Gold for the first time, I went 3-2, I new achievement on my part. With that being said, I ended today ranked games with a 8-2 record.
Is it worth it?
After finishing the ten ranked games at today's Daily Play & Earn I can safely say that it is worth it, for now. Tomorrow, if this deck made me win more games than I lose then the renting is a success. But if I am going to lose more games tomorrow then I think it is not worth it since it can't win more than 50% of games at Auric Gold.

LootRush seems to be an interesting tool to complement our decks with cards that we would not otherwise be able to play. However, to make the most of it, it is necessary to be well informed, have a defined game strategy and carefully choose the cards that we rent. In my case, I like to vary my decks and strategies to avoid being predictable, so I'm not sure yet if renting cards would be a profitable option for me.
Thanks for this post.
Well said, and I agree with you not being sure if renting cards would be profitable for you because you like to vary your decks, in that case (varying decks) you will end up renting more cards as compared to me who only renting 3 cards (2 underbrush boar, and 1 wind-up roller). Thank you for checking up on my blog. Have a nice day ahead.
Hi, "Underbrush Boar" is a great addition to your Nature deck, plus the combo with "Food Chain", nice game.👍👍👍
Thank you
