Hey friend! Welcome to the GU community on Hive!

I'm not sure how you are able to post without a wallet browser extension... 🤔 Everyone uses one, it's just like Metamask, but for Hive. This is the official link for wallets: https://hive.io/wallets/

To change your avatar just click on the round image in your profile page:

You are welcome to post here in Russian and English. It is ok to write your posts in Russian and then use a translation tool to make the English version. You can see how some people write posts in Spanish / English or Portuguese / English in the GU community and you can do the same for Russian.

Please do respect the requirements though: must always have an English version, must be original (so if you write on an external blog website you cannot post here again), not be generated by AI although you can use AI to fix grammar etc., and it must be about GU.

If you care about other topics there are many other communities here, perhaps you'll also enjoy reading and writing about other stuff 😀

So instead of writing in your blog and getting zero rewards, you can write here and get some nice Hive rewards instead!

If you manage to convince your friends to join Hive, send them to me before they create an account - I am able to onboard them with extra rewards for the first 3 months and help them with any questions they have. There is a messaging app in PeakD and I'm also on Discord, Telegram, etc.

Thanks for all these great tips, it's weird that I was even able to post my first post without signing it with my wallet :) I wonder if I should redrop it, but from what you've replied to it, it's visible to everyone. Thanks again sir and good luck!

You can post and comment if you signed in with your posting key, but you can't make any wallet transactions. You need your active key to do that. In both cases you didn't need to download or install any wallets. The password you use at login defines what you can do for that session. It's not advisable to login with your active key for every day use due to security reasons

yes thanks i figured it out a bit, i installed the extension and now i sign every action with my wallet.
