Weekend Ranked
This past weekend started out rough. I played a few BWD matches and ran into Radiant Dawn Light repeatedly. I switched to Light and ran into a lot of Nature. Finally I settled on an aggro war deck just to finish off the awful weekend quicker...and I rattled off a 12-1 finish!
It always seems to go that way, doesn't it? It's only once you've given up that the wins just come easy!
The Decklist

This deck relies on doing a ton of face damage as fast as possible. One of the key busted cards is Out of its Misery.
This card is responsible for so many wins in this deck because it can give you an unbeatable creature on turn 2. For instance a typical open could be:
T1: Leviathan Hunter, Bag, Out of its Misery
T2: 5/9 Pyramid Warden GGs
Other insane targets are getting a 6/9 Twin Strike and blitz Orcish Elite, a 2 Mana 5/5 with Protected in the Master Tactition, or even a 1 Mana 5/5 with blitz Vanguard Axewoman. There's really no bad targets for a +3/+3 buff!
You can also spam the God Power and get some massive relic damage on their face, too, with Scythes of the Harvest and/or adding Blade of Styx.
Rewards
Overall with the new rewards system, I earned 1 DO leggy, 2 DO epics, and 1 DO rare, plus about 7 $GODS tokens (and some Core packs). Because I played a super fast aggro deck instead of BWD as I had set out to do, it only took me a few hours instead of stretching out over the course of two days.
~$50 earned in 4 hours, that's a nice $12.50/hr rate! That's a nice win in my book!

I remember hearing a lot of "Oh noes, there's Radiant Dawn again!" from your games and others this weekend; def was something on a lot of people's radar for good or bad so it's good to see a simple heads up about a potential counter and I'm happy it let you at least close out your weekend on a upswing!
Also appreciate the reminder about the card Out of It's Misery. I had considered it a while back but was still working on my Nature collection so passed it by. The price has increased a bit since I last looked but even with my non-mythic 50% win rate earnings I'll be getting enough GODS to offset the cost some and who knows, I might just get lucky on pack pulls!
Plus, maybe if I can get my poor poor Bearstriders to come out the gate already buffed they will stand a chance at being viable. ::crosses fingers::
Love this deck. It's not full of cards I can't afford. 😀 It's also possibly the most aggro war deck I've seen! Only 2 5-mana drops! Should be fun. Really hoping to either win an Oddi one of these weekends or another nice epic I can sell for it. Raid Reveller is a solid card, and he's a Raid Reveller 2.0.
I tweaked it a little further for next weekend, wanted to get Blade of Styx in there and even a Sharpen! I'm coming for ya face! :copperRage:
I tried running bwd for the first time this weekend...also found lots of light and even ran into control deceptions ahaha :D
