Hi everyone,
today I will write about the deck that performed the best last weekly event.
One of the reasons why this is important for you is, because there was no new patch yet, so the meta didnt change. I think we will see decks like this much more often this upcoming weekend event.
And I also want to congratulate "[8M] Dragonstorm" who went top 1.
Enough talking, this is the 25 wins deck that went top 1. :
I would say this deck is a aggro or midrange deck. It is not a cheap deck to copy because of some genesis cards like "Jason, Medea's Muse" and 2x "Pyramid Warden"
This deck has really much leech and the highest mana cost card costs just 7mana.
I for myself cant copy this deck unluckily, but I still want to point some of the cards in this deck out and also a little bit how you could play it.
- First, I want to talk about the synergy of the 1mana cards of this deck.
There are 2x2 1 mana creatures in this deck which have a roar and just 1 health.
This is perfekt for "Out of Its Misery", because when you play one of the 1mana creatures, you get their roar and then you can "Out of Its Misery" them.
So for 2 mana you get a weapon or one of your creatures get +2 attack and you draw a card with +3/3. In my opinion this is awasome.
- Next I want to write about the 2mana cards:
I dont have to write much about "Master Tactician", he is awasome with his protected and 2/2.
"Tavern Brawler" and "Warmonger Smith" are both really good War cards and "Warmonger Smith" is also an awasome card if you cant use this roar.
About "Pyramid Warden", this card has amazing stats and frontline. It has also a downside, this is "Afterlife: Your opponent summons a random creature from their void." This can be really bad, but it is mostly worth.
The reason why you shouldnt mind the downside to much, is because you want to play your "Pyramid Warden" as soon as you can, so the enemy didnt play any strong creatures and secondly if your "Pyramid Warden" dies when your enemy has no creature in the void, this is perfekt because then he cant get a creature. This also includes when the enemy creature dies together with your "Pyramid WArden", then the just destroyed creature cant be resurected by "Pyramid WArden".
You allways want to start with "Pyramid Warden" in your hand.
Unlucky "Pyramid Warden" is so expensive and I didnt brought it :'(.
- What about the 3mana cards?
"Oddi, Valka's Herald" is in my opinion a better version of "Master Tactician".
"Nokkvi Pillager" is a nice card with leech and twin strike. With his 3/3 stats a nice card that I also like to play. Also really nice for "Hector, Prince of Troy".
"Jason, Medea's Muse" one of the most expensive (was often also the most expensive card) cards in the game has stats of 3/3. With his roar he is awasome in battles that take longer, because you get 3 more cards to your deck. I think you can replace this card, because it doesnt looks like that he really fits that good into the deck, because I dont think that the games will take that long that you need 3 more cards in your deck. The 3 cards you get from him could also be bad and handycap you.
- The 4mana cards:
"Archangel Bruiser" is a 5/3 with blitz and a good roar. When you are frenzied she gains overkill, what is often pretty nice. I like it when the enemy got some 1health creatures with some attack and you can see, how most of the times she kills more than one creature at one time.
After one patch, "Grand Hall" became a meta card, which is really usefull. The stats are ok, but with the roar where you give all your creatures +1attack and leech, it is awasome. I would say it is allready usefull when you just have 1 creature and if you have more than 1 this cards is really fearful.
Here is the only weapon in this deck. The "Magic Missile Launcher" which is a nice 3/2 weapon that can be also used for "Carnage Sweep". This weapon has an afterlife where you should not forget that it can also hit your own creatures.
- 5mana to clear some enemys:
"Carnage Sweep" is in my opinion one hell of a card and together with a weapon the doom of every board. This card deals 2 damage to all creatures and with a weapon is destroys all creatures. So yes, to every creature, also your own. So you shouldnt play this card when you allready have the boardcontrol. The only way you can conter this is with ward.
The next card which is also nice to gain back boardcontrol is "Orcish Elite", after its buff I would recommend it in every War deck. Nice stats 3/6, blitz and twin strike.
- The real game winners, the 6mana op cards
"Hyrtacus, Brazen Hero" is a card with awasome stats and a strong roar. It is the best version of the "roar: deal X damage to a creature" card there is.
Ogre Archer is one of the much worse versions of this card.
But now, I will write about a card, that I fear down to my bones. It is the nemesis of every boardcontrol deck and also my loved nature deck. Because of this gamebreaking card I lost at least 2 games in my weekly event. The people that know me and also read my nature deck post know which card will come. It is a card, which is easy to play and you buff a creatures attack by 5 and then deal its attack to all other creatures. This for just 6mana. "Sole Survivor" is the name of the card, which is in my opionion one of the 5 best cards atm.
- The biggest drop of this deck, 7mana
"Hector, Prince of Troy", is a card that I love. It is awasome. It has 6/6 stats, that is not that good for a 7mana creature, but with his roar he can get the death of you enemy.
His roar: "Roar: If any creatures in your void have blitz, flank, frontline, leech, protected, twin strike, or ward, this creature gains those abilities."
Most of the cards help him with that. I would say it is near to impossible that he wont get blitz with this deck. There are cards with twin strike, protected and leech.
He fits just perfekt into this deck.
