Pilots Guide Stormfield Meme Edition!
After watching @Copperpitch stream today he inspired me to write a Pilots guide for my meme deck. While I don’t recommend this for serious play it was getting brutally massacred and I want to point out that it can win half of the time every time. The goal of this pilots guide is to show you the basics of how to play this list so you too can achieve a 50% win rate restoring the meme glory to this list.

God Power
Always Clear Mind: You need the Foresee to set up the combo
MULLIGAN GUIDE:
Normally I present a detailed mulligan guide breaking down each card but this deck is relatively simple: All-in for Stormfield. That’s all you care about. Sure keep a Pallas Wand if they show up and an All-seeing spire is solid. Outside of that Stormfield is all that matters everything else is situational.
Deck card roles explanation:
Combo pieces: Your combo is going to consist of X Spells (2+) Stormfields and X minions. In the deck list roles section we will break down the roles of each card.
Minions section:
Pixielock, Cardshark: For 1 mana each you generate two minions. Typically you will need a combination of two copies of these card: Ex 1 Pixielock/1 Cardshark or 2 Pixielocks/0 Cardsharks or 2 Cardsharks/0 Pixielocks. For the sake of this list these are the same card.
Spells section:
Form of Power, Ancient Texts: While slightly different mathematically and the fact Form of Power requires the opposition to have a minion these are your main spells (note Vow of Champions/Final Draft from playright can also factor in the mathematics). Generally speaking you will want a minimum of 3 combo pieces here (Can work mathematically with 2 in rare scenarios) If you draw all 4 it increases your OTK range as well
Cost-reduction section:
Assistant Alchemist, Warp Engineer, Arcane Transcendent Dimension Door (situationally): Even if you draw all of the combo pieces usually you wont have enough mana to play all of them in the same turn. This is where cost reduction comes into play. Its important to cost reduce your combo by a minimum of 4 this will let you go off at 6 your traditional time. Additional cost reduction gives you more flexibility on your exact combo pieces. Ideally you want to uses Arcane Trancendent, Warp Engineers to get the Stormfields down to 0. Its common to save assistant Alchemist on the OTK combo turn as minion #5 (Main line lethal is 5 minions 3 spell 2 stormfields) AA is likely minion #5 after the 2x Pixie/Shark combo
Stormfield Section:
Stormfield, Magic Inks: The reason why the Magic Inks are in the deck is to generate an additional Stormfield 2 Stormfields are a requirement in almost all scenarios. Some lethal lines revolving around 3 as well. Keep in mind that its important to reduce the cost of Stormfield to 0 and that its your only 0 cost spell before you play magic inks to ensure you’re copying the right spell. Your Magic Inks copy will cost 2 instead of 0 keep that in mind also.
Card Draw section:
Pallas’ Wand, All-seeing spire: These are your main tools additionally a Demetrios Playwright that goes moon can also play this role via the final draft. High-priority on clear mind early game these two cards are however late game they are the worst options in your deck. They also don’t synergize well with each other. Pallas’ wand is generally tier 1 with spire tier 2 but its good to have some card generation any way it can be achieved.
Card cycle section:
Levitate, Seeing Stone, Safeguard Incantation: The sole purpose of these cards is to make your deck smaller. If you draw them its fine because you can get rid of them swiftly. Vow of Champions, Dimension Door sometimes function in this role as well.
Mathematics “Cheat Sheet”
Below is the math breakdown of potential lethals (for the purpose of math here all “spells” are considered 1 cost and “Minions” are considered Cardshark/pixie with AA used in “odd” math situations.
Main line lethal:
5 minions (AA/2xPixieshark) (1 cost each) 3 spells (1 cost each) 2 Stormfields (2 cost each) Cost for main line combo = 9 mana – cost reductions
Alternate line spell overload:
3 minions (AA/1xPixieshark) (1 cost) 4 Spells (1 cost each 2 spells must have base damage of 2 EX: Ancient texts) 2 Stormfields (2 cost each) Cost for Alternate line spell over-load = 9 mana – cost reduction + additional spell beyond base 1 (ex: Vow).
Alternate line storm shortage lethal:
6 minions (3x Pixieshark) (3 cost) 4 spells 1 cost each 2 spells must have base damage of 2 EX: Ancient texts) (4 cost) 1 Stormfield (2 cost) total cost of “storm shortage lethal: = 9 mana – cost reduction + additional spell beyond base 1 (ex: Vow).
Note these are to be used as a baseline additional lines can popup in game situations here is the formula for quick lethal calculations:
Spell damage boost (*) Quantity of Spells + Base damage of spells. Ex: if you have 6 spell boost and 4 spells you will generate 24 damage from the spellboost and need your 4 spells to make up the final 6 points (or however much you need). If you picked up chip damage at any point of the game this can lower the standard you need to achieve for lethal.
Conclusion:
This list is NOT MEANT for top level series gameplay. It’s meant for fun in a sub-.500 performance also can be used as a hard counter if you know your opponent is playing certain types of control lists. F2P aggro lists will beat this list more often than not. Let me know what you think of this guide. This is my first guide for a non-serious deck but I do think its unique has fringe viability and is fun to play. Want to see more of this or more serious things? Let me know in the comments! Link to YouTube video with gameplay and yelling:
Breaking up the lethal over multiple lines would help with the legibility e.g.
5 minions (AA/2xPixieshark) (1 cost each)
3 spells (1 cost each)
2 Stormfields (2 cost each)
Cost for main line combo = 9 mana – cost reductions

Out of necessity (due to lack of some cards), I think I'm going to try a version of the deck with rat rods instead of pixies/sharks along with more board removal spells (like TBH). Rat Rod can build up a board in advance of the combo turn and hopefully rats can do some ping damage / favor generation. Picking up FoP from sanctum, or getting their health below 24, would greatly reduce the number of cards you need to find.
Also, I know this is a meme deck, but Magic Inks feels a little cumbersome. It's almost like drawing a storm field, but you have to have a stormfield + have lowered it's cost to 0 and not lowered anything else to zero.
Yeah my first experiment was with rat rod variants and its just hard to set up a OTK with rat tokens generally they have to stick for a turn and opponents dont like to cooperate.
