Welcome to this little introduction of myself.
I don't like to talk about myself but it's necessary so here we go.
My name is Jan aka B4ller1na and I live in Germany. I am 26 years old and have been working as a Coach for eSport-Teams for 7 years now. My Main-Games here were CS:GO until Valorant got released in 2020.
My history in regard to Trading Card Games isn't as glamorous but has a way longer story to tell. To make it short, I played a lot of Competitive Yugioh and MTG since I was 15 until I was 20. From that onward I focused on MTGA, Hearthstone and Gwent. Mentioning Hearthstone as my main game here, hitting Top 100 Legend multiple times each year since its release until I started playing Gods Unchained in February 2022.
I am leading the German channel in the discord in activity in chat and helping everyone there to the point where almost 70 percent of us played the same Nature Deck I created and achieved the Mythic rank with it. I am streaming on twitch.tv/B4ller1na and am kind of active on my twitter profile due to my Team i represent there.
I would love to help creating a competitive eSport in GU and always try to build the “perfect” Anti-Meta strategies, finding holes and weaknesses in certain strategies and try my best to explain my thoughts to the people around me (as i did in the post you might have read already called “Aggro Light and its Downfall”). I love the color green which led me to the decision to start playing Nature right from the start. Going to mythic on my first WR in February with Midrange Nature and close to no idea about the Game itself (Charging Oryx carried most of my games, especially against BWD). From all the archetypes and styles of decks, especially mentioning the pace of competitive play and the strategic aspects of the game, I prefer playing midrange decks because in my opinion it needs the most skill here to win a mirror matchup or make the correct decisions in play. In contrast to that, when it's just about “playing for fun” I really appreciate long games with many Value-Cards which generate random resources. That is also the reason why I decided to play Control/Value Nature in the current Meta and on stream. I don't play the game to win on Stream. I want to give my viewers a good time and some awesome moments that I can live through with them.
My favorite moment here is the Game where I played 2 “Low-hanging Fruit”’s on turn 2, just to generate a third one from Celestial Stag in the following turn. This kind of Chaos isn't for everyone but I love to embrace it and if I lose through randomness, no one is to blame but the game. That way it's always a good mood in the game and no sadness or frustration in the Stream.
My real life is rather boring in comparison to what I do online. I have a girlfriend for 7.5 years now, we got to know each other in my social service year after school. I worked at a social gathering place for homeless people as well as she did. We dated and… due to her being better at playing Mario Kart and me making the right move at the right moment…. we became a couple.
We have a dog named Emma. She is 4 Year old and a really adorable living plushy.
