The current event will run until 12/28 and then be replaced with a similar-but-slightly-modified event for four additional weeks. In those additional four weeks, rewards are based on eligible players. In this case, eligible means you've played enough games to earn rewards. This is a stricter rule to combat botting, and as such, the reward thresholds have been lowered.
This looks like a positive to me. If nothing else, the reward tiers are closer together, which means the reward curve will be smoother in response to rising player counts. Of course, 4 weeks of extra $GODS is always a positive, too.

Obviously Buddy, It's a great news to hear the extension of Blessing of Gods event and the real kick is in that they are shifiting the rewards from weekly active users to eligible players. What you say about it @kstreet ...???
Well depending on the number of player increase week over week it can be a positive. More time to earn doesn't really mean you earn more as each token then becomes more diluted, but at the same time if it has a big enough base and keep growing it is healthy so everyone can get introduced to it therefore possibly buying more.
