Testing out Regen Nature!

Hello everyone,

After finishing the series of talking and explaining about 3 famous playstyles for every god, I decided to test every playstyle separately and share with you how it performs and all the results.

I tested out some of the magic, war and nature playstyles and this post is going to be about testing out Regen Nature and seeing how it performed and how fun it was as well!

Now ever since I have started the game I was a nature main by heart, 90% of my game were with nature decks, however, recently I have decided to play a bit more of every god but I came back to nature for this one so stick around to see what happened!

The deck:

Now I had to actually use my friend account to test out this playstyle, because there are several cards that I did not have and that the deck just does not work without them which I will be mentioning in a bit.

And since my friend does not have hive so I can not give him a shoutout but thanks for him for allowing me to test this deck and probably many others to come on his account :p

So as we can see the deck is so close to a Zoo Deck, with spell that can give Regen like Cyrene's Blessing, Blessing of Nature and Wildfire.

The purpose of this deck is to stack as much Regen as possible on as many creatures as you can, so you going to have to try to clear the board and make use of the regen without killing your creatures, and then when it comes to 5 mana, with the Trial of the Hydra you can have at least 2 or 3 insane creatures on board and end the game from there.

Now I threw in a Moonlight Charm because it can help a lot strengthening a creature and with the Regen he can survive even more. The Marsh Walker is excellent target for it.

Matchups Breakdown

MatchupsWins/MatchesWin rate
Light0/0
Nature3/6
Magic1/3
Death1/1
War3/4
Deception1/1
Overall9/1560%

The deck performed generally well against deception and nature, it went very bad against magic I even won this 1 match because the opponent either messed up or did not have a good hand because when I faced magic they would not let any creature on board nature they can easily kill them in 1 spell. And it went exceptionally well against war since I was able to hold a lot of creatures on board till the 5 mana mark.

Important Cards

Now the card that I will be mentioning are the cards that I feel that this deck can never work without them!

Jaguar Staff (16.19$)

This card helped me so much in many situations. Most of them were on 4 mana, I used a crystal, killed a creature and got 1 Black Jaguar and then on the next turn, I got the other one and used Trial of the Hydra and got 3 strong creatures that helped me so much.

This is the first card that I had to ask my friend's account for because I did not have it.

Trial of the Hydra (15.33$)

This is the second card that I had to burrow this account for. This card is the engine of this whole deck, without it it just does not work, this will help get you at 5 mana several strong creatures after flooding the board with regen that will help you end the game.

Marsh Walker (1.93$)

Now some of you might be surprised that this card made the important cards list. To be honest this creature was the most creature that survived most of the time and helped me so much with his base 4 HP and 1 Regen.

I also managed to Moonlight charm him in several situation and it was just nutty when I got to the trial at the end of it. I would say this was the best creature in the deck for me alongside the Starving Sabertooth.

Replaceable Cards

Celestial Stag with Hunt Warden:

Now I know some of you might not have the Celestial Stag so it can be replaced with a Hunt Warden in case you somehow have the important cards but not this one. Maybe you were playing it before since ToTG and came back now to the game now.

I just added the Celestial because it is a good creature overall.

Rabid Bear with Another Hunt Warden

switch 2.jpg

Replacing those creatures won't be much of a problem. This deck is all about the Regen so it will not be a big difference especially that the Hunt Warden have similar stats and the others does not have base Regen.

Sudden Bloom with either Falling Star or Another The Hunt

switch 3.jpg

Now Sudden Bloom for me was very situational. I did not get to use it so much so switching would not make a huge deal I guess. And also those two other spells can also help a lot in many different situations so maybe they can come in more handy at some point.

Conclusion

I had so much fun trying out this deck and ever since I started testing and trying either new deck with same gods or different gods I felt like I started to enjoy the game much more with this variety! So I will definitely post about all remaining playstyles one after the other!

Now as for this deck, the performance was overall good, however I think on a weekend rank it would perform a little bit worst because I think it lacks several factors. In this meta having creatures stay on board can be tough and this deck is all about that so you have to be very lucky for it to work.

But overall not so bad and maybe I would recommend it in weekend Rank if certain changes were done to Regen or to some creatures. But for the fun of it, I would definitely advise everyone to try it out and see how it goes!

That was it for this post hope you like it if you done make sure to follow me for more decks and testing out and also for some random helpful tips that I randomly drop about the game! With that said hope you all have a great week gaming!

Mad Love, Peace out <3

Nice deck bro! I'm wanting to ride one to play the week after I get sick of my zoo

I feel you man I also been wanting to switch up from the classic decks from time to time. It gives the game more taste

Nice work! I don't think I've ever faced a Regen Nature out in the wild just yet but I'm curious to see how it plays out especially since it seems to always be near the top in the GUDecks meta list.

Yeah it does not exist a lot especially because trial of the hydra only work in it so people might hesitate buying it just to use it in one deck or I don't know. Glad my friend did have it so I can try it for a bit was fun :p

First of all... What kind of friend doesn't have a Hive account? 😂
I like Zoo decks. I talked about Zoo some weeks ago and 2 different persons had no idea what a Zoo deck is. I was confused.
I think Nature and Death have the best cards for building Zoo decks.
I don't own Hydra yet but I see how you can have an armada of small angry creatures. Beside Trial of the Hydra I own all the cards and will try what madness the Hydra can bring.

!PIZZA for a buddy.

Yeah the trial was very crucial in the deck! And my friend doesn't care about social platforms that much he just plays and buy cards :p
