It seemed logical to think that if diamond cards increase the number of shards, then scarce cards should also have an impact. I couldn’t find any information about this on the website’s blog or Reddit, but I was lucky enough to have a very rare Rat of Destruction card in my collection. Armed with a zombie tempo death deck, I decided to test this hypothesis.
The expectations weren’t met — I received the same number of shards as one would with a deck of 30 meteorite-quality cards. Now you know for sure that scarcity doesn’t affect earnings, at least for now.

Hi! This is the relevant post regarding the DP&E changes and indeed there is no mention of scarcity in the formulas to determine earnings.
