This is how GU works these days. Successfully playing in Mythic on the weekend and, then, de-ranking to Solar and eventually Auric. 😃 The deck just stopped working... But let me tell in order.

King of Budget Decks

I won every opponent who played a deck below 30$ except only one Aggro War. 🤠 This is the hero:

Of course, when they play Pyramid Warden on turn 1, then Necroscepter on turn 3, then kill my buffed minions with Eva, and, then, cut everybody alive with Neferu, Champion of Death before playing Thaeriel, Ember Oni, Demogorgon... in that case, it's hard to do anything. But, but, but there is a chance to sneak a win if the opponent has a bad card draw. That's how I won an expensive Zombie Control deck in 5 turns (right after WR matches, within 10 daily games):

I killed the opponent almost with only one buffed Bedeviled Shadow

I peeked what deck I was going to play and I saw this: Zombie Control Death. I had already lost to two such decks (both with 2 Demos) so I knew that a desperate move was needed. I decided to mulligan Dark Knives and a creature with 2+ health to be a good carrier of buffing spells and hoping that Team Up / Pietro would come at the proper moment. The plan worked: I killed the opponent almost with only one buffed Bedeviled Shadow.

Connection Error

That almost killed me. Happily, I managed to reach 10/18, and that cooled me down...

It was the worst moment for a bug: I had just cleared the board of Amazons, and the opponent has no cards in the hand. Starting right from that moment, my creatures couldn't move, and, eventually, the program said that the client was unable to set the connection - something like this. 😡 If the client was unable, why they counted I lost? 😡

The Deck with 2 Team Up + Pietro

I keep testing this and that. I ended WR with this deck:

But I started with 2 Shrike Moonlighters instead of 2 Bedeviled Shadows. I didn't draw them for a while, then they helped me to win and then I lost to Control Deception clearly because of Shrike Moonlighters. It was sad since Control Deception usually lose to HRD. So I swapped Moonlighters for Bedeviled Shadows. (Probably, Merrick instead of Bedeviled Shadow would be a better choice but I didn't have one).

Gama's finest hour

I really wanted to have fun with Moonlighters that could supplement Gama but they don't belong to HRD. I already have 2 non-aggro creatures in the deck - Blade Borrowers that needed to debut against aggro opponents. More than 2 non-aggro creatures is too much.

De-Ranking to Auric

Then, the deck just stopped working. Probably, I must have kept playing the same deck to enter the white streak but I started experiments while I was feeling burned out, and, as it happens, de-ranked to Auric.

Back to Solar with This Deck:

I tried having relic removers, Umber Arrow, Hunting Traps, Bound by her Will but it didn't work. The last version looks more like classic HRD (except two Team Up):

I experienced lack of big hidden creatures so I returned Lokian Disciple and added the second Sneaky Bruiser although four 5-mana creatures seem to be too many, perhaps. Don't want to buy and add a meteorite Merrick into the shadow+ deck... But the ides looks interesting. Should I?

But it depends on your strategy. You can wait for months to sell high or you can lower the price and sell to bots. If you dump enough, they'll immediately buy. I sold many cards for IMX in this way; probably, it's the same about ETH. I also was surprised about bots' prices for shadow cards - although not too many people buy them, I could often sell shadows to bots 2-3 more expensive than a meteorite.

No idea how much they can pay for this gold version...

You can start from 17$ and lower slight step by step - you'll need a long while to do this properly. It can be that a bot will buy for 8-12$. But nobody can guarantee it's not 15$.

If you wait, you might sell for a better price or you will never sell because people will regularly set lower prices so you might miss your "every-3-month" chance. While 8-12$ in ETH will become 80-120$ at some moment... Or Dolvaz will get a good buff and will cost 10x in a month or two... Nobody knows 🙂 A new set can make Dolvaz and MJ cards more expensive... Or bots will stop buying when GU declined enough deep and there will be no such opportunity anymore.
