Kazan Patir bread is baked in an iron cauldron.

in Creative Cuisine7 months ago

Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well. As mentioned in my previous posts, my family and I were on a mountain vacation. One of the popular attractions here is bread cooked in a cauldron called a Kazan. This bread is a favorite among visitors, as it is made with hot, delicious bread and natural butter sourced from cows that graze on mountain herbs. In the early morning, we visited the place where the bread is cooked purchasing for breakfast.

The dough for the bread is made from a mixture of milk, water, salt, butter, and flour, according to the woman who prepares it. The dough is allowed to rest before being cooked. The woman mentioned that she starts preparing the dough at 5 a.m. and then goes to the cooking area. People start buying the bread around 7 a.m., and it takes about 20 minutes to cook.

To cook the bread, the dough is spread out and punctured with a special tool.

The cauldron is heated over medium heat, and the bread is placed on it with both hands.

After cooking one side, the bread is flipped and butter is applied to the surface before cooking until both sides are brown.

Then they put butter in the middle of the hot bread; it will give it an incredibly rich taste. It was a lovely breakfast😍
