AVOCADO is often said to be the most nutritious fruit in the world. The fruit provides more than 25 essential nutrients such as protein, iron, copper, phosphorus and magnesium, just to name a few.
*Avocado Tree at my Grandparents garden
The avocado is one of the favorite in our family. We used to eat avocado mixed with ice cubes, condensed or powdered milk and a little bit of sugar. It was a sweet and refreshing treat to have on a hot sunny day here in the Philippines. The peak of the fruiting season in our country is from May to September, although some trees in certain localities fruit from January to March.
And to refresh and beat the heat of summer, I will share to you an easy steps on how to make "Avocado Ice Cream" without using ice cream maker or churning
Ingredients:
1 kilo or 6 pcs. medium size ripe avocados
3 tbsp lemon juice
1 10 oz (300 ml) can sweetened condensed milk
3 (500 ml) can whipping cream
Procedures:
Cut the avocados in halves, remove the pits and scoop out the flesh then grate.
In a container, add lemon juice and condensed milk together with the grated avocado. Puree the mixture until smooth. Set aside.
In a large bowl, beat the cream until stiff peaks form. Add the avocado mixture and fold it in until no white streaks can be seen.
Spoon the mixture into a container, preferably a glass one with a lid. Cover the entire top surface with a plastic wrap and then cover with the lid. Freeze for at least 8 hours or overnight.
*Add nuts as toppings and serve.
Anyone can enjoy this home-made ice cream. It is absolutely creamy and delicious!
Thanks again for making time reading my blog. And that's all for now. Till next time.

Earlier today, I wanted to go out and buy some avocados and make some dessert, but I was still too scared to go outside the house. Yummy, those photos make my tummy happy :) Thank you for sharing @honeytart18 :) Magandang gabi!
Salamat po! Try to look in fb pages. There are online sellers who offer avocados.
Yumminess! Nag iisip me kung ano ang replacement sa condensada di kasi puede sa Senior like me.sobrang tamis kasi.
Just mix a cup of nonfat dry milk powder with your desired sugar level, margarine, and boiling water, and you've got a thick, sweet condensed milk substitute that has the same dairy richness. 😉

I love it! Although, it's sad that Avocado is too pricey here in Metro Manila. It cost around 80-100 pesos each.
100 each really? I think it is over pricing.. Here in Cavite where we live, 5-6pcs. Per kilo (medium size) only cost 100-130 pesos.
