Adobo is a popular traditional Filipino dish, marinated in vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, bay leaf, and peppercorn to preserve and enhance its flavor.
Adobo is derived from the Spanish word “Adobar” meaning marinade.
Today I wanna share how I prepare and cook my own version of cooking.
INGREDIENTS:
1 kilo of chicken cut
7 cloves garlic crushed
3 tablespoon vinegar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup water
1 pc. bay leaf
1 teaspoon peppercorn
1 chilli pepper
2 tablespoon oil
PROCEDURE:
*Put the cut chicken in the pan, add garlic
bay leaf,peppercorn
vinegar, soy sauce and chilli pepper, marinade for an hour.
- Cover and cook it in medium heat, let it simmer until the meat become tender, add water if the liquid start to dry when the meat is not yet tender.
*Remove the cover, continue to cook until the liquid totally evaporates. Add the vegetable oil and fry a little bit making golden brown in color. Then it is ready to serve.
