My friends and I went to the aquarium last weekend. I was so thrilled about that because that had never happened to me before. However, honestly speaking, it was not as enjoyable as I expected. Something odd about the place.
I noticed when we arrived there that some of the tanks were quite small in size. The fish seemed to be crammed in them and they did not look happy. It made me feel sad for them since they lacked enough space where they could swim around freely. This made me think perhaps they would be happier swimming in the sea where they have more space to roam.
Something else that bothered me was how some of the animals were confined. In a small tank, I saw a large turtle which was wrong for it. Even motioning became difficult for this creature at all. It just stood there looking miserable on its face throughout this time period without doing anything. As long as something could be done for it, I wished.
The tanks were dirty, I observed. The water was cloudy and there was algae growing on the glass. I couldn’t help but think that the animals might not be receiving the best care. They should experience a life in clean and healthy place.
The dolphin show was one of the things we were eagerly waiting to see. But once we reached there, it turned out differently. It was too crowded and small for such an occasion like that; this is so because it had many people surrounding it trying to have a look at what was taking place inside. They seemed unhappy as well as they only repeated their tricks each time round. This sight made me feel melancholic.
All in all, my trip to the aquarium wasn't as good as I wished it would be. In case you ask me, those animals need something better than they are currently getting from us humans. Bigger tanks where they can move around more freely are necessary for them to inhabit in such spaces.
Also, they must be kept clean so that these creatures can exist in hygienic surroundings. It is hoped that things will change someday into future making all animals happy and healthy once again.
