Trend trend trend, who sets the pace?
In as much as this in a thing of everyday life. Somehow I am a person who is not freaked about trends. Yea, yea am a little old fashioned may not a little.
I always see myself not moved by trends or reigning things just the same way am not a celebrity freak.
Well, I respect successful people a lot cos success is not easy to come by but talk of celebrities freaking out, no way. If I am the only one in the world and celebrities expect me to faint at the sight of them or get all giddy, then they have no customer and their carrier would end.
I’ve been in the face of celebrities while my mates are dying to get a selfie and all, I’d just stay by the corner and observe all the drama. This is not pride but somehow something in me just does not like to be at the fore front, to be fronted or be forward if I may put it that way.
The amazing thing is over the years, I’ve noticed one common phenomenon, those people that others kill themselves to get acquainted with naturally drifts towards me and we become best of friends without me as much as lifting a foot. It’s like greatness is just drawn to me and I don’t even have to scramble for it.
Well, back to my story about trends, am behind, always behind when it comes to trends and trending things and my friends think am a little archaic. Hahahaha. They would always mock me for not keep up to the trend and staying on top of my game.
Well, I try. At least I still get to wear the trendy wears after they’ve trended. I still get to buy the trending shoes or peradventure go to the trendy places after the trend rush. The most important thing is that I did it and when it’s far affordable. Hahaha.
But something a little awkward here is the fact that when these things trend, if you don’t have it then or acquire it while there’s a rave about it everywhere, you seem odd. My question is who made the standard? Who said we must flow with the trend?
A lot of ladies in a bid to stay with the trend do alot of despicable things to say but the least. Who are my trying to impress? New flash; nobody. So I prefer my peace of mind than trying to live up to the trend. I won’t break my bank trying to follow trend. Trend go and come but we remain. If you feel like it follow the trend but don’t drag me into in. I will gladly thread behind.

Tendencia, tendencia, ¿quién marca el ritmo?
En la medida en que esto es algo cotidiano. De alguna manera, soy una persona a la que no le obsesionan las tendencias. Sí, sí, soy un poco anticuada, puede que no un poco.
Siempre me veo a mí misma sin dejarme llevar por las tendencias ni por lo que está de moda, de la misma manera que no soy una fanática de las celebridades.
Bueno, respeto mucho a la gente exitosa porque el éxito no es fácil de conseguir, pero hablar de celebridades que se vuelven locas, ni hablar. Si soy la única en el mundo y las celebridades esperan que me desmaye al verlas o que me emocione, entonces no tienen clientes y su carrera se acabaría.
He estado frente a celebridades mientras mis amigos se mueren por hacerse una selfie y todo eso, y yo me quedaba en la esquina observando todo el drama. No es orgullo, pero de alguna manera, algo dentro de mí simplemente no le gusta estar al frente, ser el centro de atención o estar al frente, por así decirlo.
Lo asombroso es que, con los años, he notado un fenómeno común: esas personas por las que otros se matan por conocer se acercan a mí de forma natural y nos convertimos en mejores amigos sin que yo siquiera tenga que mover un pie. Es como si la grandeza simplemente me atrajera y ni siquiera tuviera que esforzarme para conseguirla.
Bueno, volviendo a mi historia sobre las tendencias, siempre voy atrasada en cuanto a tendencias y cosas que marcan tendencia, y mis amigos piensan que soy un poco anticuada. Jajajaja. Siempre se burlaban de mí por no seguir la tendencia y mantenerme a la vanguardia.
Bueno, lo intento. Al menos sigo usando la ropa de moda después de que se ha puesto de moda. Sigo comprando los zapatos de moda o, por casualidad, voy a los sitios de moda después de la fiebre de las tendencias. Lo más importante es que lo hice y cuando es muy asequible. Jajaja.
Pero algo un poco incómodo aquí es que cuando estas cosas se ponen de moda, si no las tienes o las consigues mientras están de moda, pareces raro. Mi pregunta es ¿quién creó el estándar? ¿Quién dijo que debemos seguir la tendencia?
Muchas mujeres, en su afán por seguir la tendencia, hacen cosas despreciables, por decir lo menos. ¿A quién intento impresionar? A la última moda; a nadie. Así que prefiero mi tranquilidad a intentar seguir la tendencia. No me voy a arruinar intentando seguirla. Las tendencias van y vienen, pero nosotros permanecemos. Si te apetece, síguela, pero no me arrastres. Con gusto me uniré.
