Hello Cent Platform!
In Sub-Saharan Africa one of the most underrated variables is the healthcare and this has caused many deaths and complications.
The question is why do we underrate our health? There are so many factors that makes Africans to underrate their health:
- High poverty rate. The African continent is one of the most blessed continents in the world with abundant raw materials that are coveted by Europe and Americas. But the continent seems to be very poor and one of the countries in Africa is the world poverty capital. Remember that medications are supposed to be paid for and with the high level of poverty members of commumities can't afford those medical expenses. The people just need what to eat irrespective of their health conditions.
- Little or no health insurance schemes for all. Most hospitals are owned by private individuals who attends to patients based on the money they have to deposit for their health care. Governments don't subsides the health sector to enable citizens afford the medical bills.
- Many believe that it's very difficult for dirty to kill an African man. This means that a disease that affects an African man will surely go back to way it came.
- Lack of proper health sensitization. Most people don't know why they should live health and what to eat or do to remain healthy. There are very few rural platforms that sensitize the rural dwellers on the importance of living a hygienic lifestyle.
Thing are also teh same here my country. It might not be that bad, but it can be better if only the goverment are doing thier duty very well and honest
