The other day, I saw a movie named "The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind." The movie is about a young boy called William who lives in an electricity-poor village.
William however is clever. He has the vision of bringing electricity to his village so that he can support his family and community too.
What this movie taught me is how significant it is for people to join hands and work together for something big.
But first, let me tell you about William. He’s just a kid like me but with bigger dreams. He wants to learn, help out his family, and improve everyone’s life in his community. His village lacks one thing though: electricity; so, Williams decides to take care of it himself.
He begins to study books that explain how electricity operates. Windmills are also among things that William learns about as they can be used in generation of electricity.
However, William cannot afford all the things he needs for the construction of a windmill. There is no money and many necessary tools are lacking. But William does not give up.He therefore talks to people around him in the village whom he shares his ideas with and asks them for help.
William's idea does not have supporters initially because some people think it is impossible for a child like him to bring electricity into their village.
Nevertheless, he didn’t allow pessimism to get over him; instead he kept on conversing with people around him explaining his plans and asking for support from them. Gradually, others begin to believe in his story since they see how resolute he is and they want to assist him in whatever way possible.
A team of people working with him is soon being put together by William. Some give him money to buy materials, others a tool and equipment while some offer encouragement and support. They collectively start building the windmill.
This is not an easy task to undertake. Along the way there come challenges.
There are times when they run out of money or construction materials as well as when weather does not comply. But William and his team do not surrender; they work on solving problems and helping one another.
Then, finally they did it. A windmill is built by them which begins generating electricity for the village. It is amazing to everyone around who are grateful at this juncture too; this demonstrates what can happen when people collaborate and trust in each other
My thoughts on my life were made by the Boy Who Harnessed the Wind. For example, sometimes I have these big dreams like William. But it’s so easy to feel as though they’ll never materialize.
It is possible that I lack the skills and resources necessary to pursue them. However, this film taught me that I can’t go alone. If I can find those who believe in me and are ready to offer a helping hand, nothing will stop me from succeeding.
On the second thought, I learnt that one is supposed to ask for help when necessary. William did not take up everything.
He came out of his comfort zone and sought support from his community members.
Consequently he had achieved an incredible thing because of that reason. Therefore, next time I have a big dream, I would think of Williams story.
Thus people must be involved; ideas should be shared with others who might lend a hand if need be.
In conclusion, The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind isn’t just any movie but something far more than that! It is also about teamwork, determination and community spirit among other things .
This reveals how individuals can work together and lift each other high resulting in awesome results which none expected could happen at all in short eternity shall ever retain this concept in my mind since it was personal experience drawn from real life which serves as school for many people including myself in particular.
