RE: Finding Security in Times of Insecurity: Reflections on Psalm 31 and Modern Challenges

I dont have a decent upvote right now - so i'll drop a hbd tip for you instead :)

very timely post for me as I'm having some odd health issues. needing to rely on the Lord to direct the doctors! as I have very little faith in our medical industry these days... lol

thankful for our emergency medicine - but the rest ... not so helpful. lots of rushing patients through the system. guesswork. treating patients as imbeciles.

but He is the Great Healer. that's where my trust lies.

I trained in psychology also - but my desire was to direct people to the real Answer in that world. Life took a different turn for me though... hehe and my degree simply became part of who I am.

I am happy to know your background. We have a few students who have been practicing clinical psychology for years but they don't see long term change in the lives of their students. That's the reason why they look for answers and they found what their looking for in biblical counseling movement. I am glad that two of them will be completing their MA program and will soon be part of our faculty.

I don't think there really are answers outside of Biblical Counseling! speaking of... my old pastor (and he was also my kindergarten teacher hahaha) is Paul Tripp! lol how's that for a rich heritage! 😀

Wow! I didn't meet him personally. I only know his works. That's an interesting history you have there with Paul David Tripp. 😄

hahaha he also baptized me :)

he was our pastor in a very small church before he moved to Philadelphia later and became world-famous LOL

Everyone knows him as Dr. Tripp but he is always Paul to me LOL

I love his How People Change. That's a solid and very rare book.

By the way, thanks for the tip!

you're quite welcome! and thanks for the upvote on my comments! haha that was quite nice! Feel free to leave that for others who are currently writing though!! hehe They can probably really use the encouragement and help!

Got it. Thank you!

of course! I'm awake in the middle of the night so i'll go read a few more of your posts :)
