The Pressure of Perfection

The world is moving forward and most of the tech billionaires are aiming for one thing in their company, and that is to outcompete others, impress investors and impress customers, just enough to stay relevant and in business.

They own to make their products and services perfect. It's a lot of pressure on them. Social media platforms, ads, influencers, tech giants, they all seem to paint this flawless picture of life, and I get a bit frustrated following it.

I open TikTok or YouTube shorts which are basically the only two social platforms I follow anyways and you see people sharing their lifestyle and perfect achievements and I ask myself, when will I be s good at these guys?

But I've come to know the real Truth. Nobody's really living like that. It's not perfect for all of them. They wake up and are burdened with almost the same difficulties as I'm burdened with besides money of course because they're rich but money doesn't solve all their problem and even adds some problems you would never think it would.

I know I'm not the only one who feels this weight so decided to share the truth with everyone in a similar both. Don't be too hard on yourself, you don't have to be perfect, no one is. Just strive to be better than yesterday that's all your aim should be.

Perfection really is an illusion and you never get there. If you improve something, your end up solving a problem but what you did to solve the problem could also create another problem leaving flaws in what you're doing. That's the way it is and we should accept it.

There’s this pressure to always be a hundred percent, to always be looking your best and doing your best. And I get it, in some ways, it’s motivating.
But most of the time, it’s just draining. I'm not trying to rant I want to encourage you that when you hit burn out season, don't be frustrated because just like the famous song says "I'm only human" and as humans we're not perfect.

Honestly, when did being good enough stop being enough? It’s like, if you're not doing something extraordinary, you're falling behind. But the truth is you feel you're falling behind because you're comparing yourself to others. Those people you compare yourself too have flaws but they hide those flaws and present the best version of themselves whenever they post on social media or whenever they walk out of their house.

I always try to remind myself to step back, don't stress and focus on what my strength can do, the rest eventually sorts itself out.
