A lesson from the joking general

Hey... There

It's another great day to dive into the story world again. Kindly stay with me as I bring to you all, an interesting story about a man and the lion.

Once upon a time, in a particular small town known as the Ocean Village, there was a certain man named General Jack; fortunate enough, he was a member of the king's court in this popular ocean village.

This man was highly respected among his people and even those from the neighboring village, and extremely influential; I mean, you could call him honorable. He was as well known to be skillful in hunting; that's to say, he was a good hunter.

General Jack seems to joke about things a lot, and in some of his joking stories, he'll tell his people about how he attempted to swallow saliva but couldn't until he called on a toothpick for assistance.

Other times, he would say something like ehn.. after he woke up from sleep, he'd say to his wife to go out there and embrace her mistakes, but to his surprise, the wife wouldn't go out; instead, she'd come back in and hug him. Making him wonder if he was her mistake.

That he used to be very fat, General Jack said to his colleagues in the king's court, so one faithful day, he stood up at night and told himself, "I love you," and the fat disappeared.

So, during one of their village meeting ahead of the annual festival ceremony, the village chief with executives gathered, which General Jack wasn't exempted.
In a brief format, their next meeting was expected to be mouthwatering with some bush meats from General Jack.

The day came after General Jack had returned from hunting and got home with some bush meat, prepared them, ate, and rested.

Another meeting day is here, and General Jack walks in while the meeting is ongoing, poorly dressed and with a languid face; everyone is surprised, and that includes the King.

They asked... Is everything ok?
I got robbed General Jack replied.
What did they take? The king asked.
The bush meat general Jack replied.

Get out! Joker!

Subsequently, General Jack resumes hunting, and sometimes he gets nothing to shoot at but will end up shouting I'm dying. I'm dying... help. Help, I'm attacked by the lion. Please help. The villagers troop into the forest to help and rescue General Jack, but to their surprise, it is all a joke.

This same thing happens repeatedly more than four consecutive times, and the people get tired of General Jack's joke.
So that unlucky day, he went out hunting and this time around he was faced with the lion for real, he shouted as usual, help... help. Help, I'm attacked by the lion, and this time, not even a fly shows up. But then, reality plays out.

Before general jack jokingly passed out, he didn't stop joking though; he left by saying that in everything you're doing, "look out for number one, but be careful so you don't step in number too because sometimes it's considered better to be pissed off other than being pissed on!!

General Jack.. members of the king's court are saying bye. But don't come back again.

Please don't hesitate to stop by the comment section, and let us read from you what moral lessons you've derived from this well-scripted story by your friend.

There's love in sharing they said.

Much love from @johnpetra!!
