Last Thursday, we had a despedida party for Sis. Ness, our cashier. She served our institution for six years. She and her husband decided to focus on taking care of their daughters and their store.
As a weekly practice in our school, we have prayer meetings every Thursday, and so we bought 6 boxes of pizza to thank the Lord for Sis. Ness' faithful service during those 6 years.
The two gallons of ice cream above are an additional treat from the school president after assisting him to cash out 25% of his migrated Pi. He didn't expect that Pi was for real. He actually lost the mobile phone he used to download Pi. I told him to download it again on his new phone and connect it to his Facebook account to see the amount of Pi migrated to his wallet. The good thing is he was able to keep his seed phrase. After a few minutes, he returned to me and showed his seed phrase, and presto, he has 800 Pi in his wallet. We cashed out a total of 6,400.00 PHP and used a portion of that amount for Sis. Ness' farewell party. The remaining Pi will be unlocked this coming July.
The following day, the staff in the registrar and the business departments had a separate celebration. We went to a Korean restaurant and ordered the unlimited Samgyupsal.
And then, after finishing our lunch, we proceeded to a coffee shop.
Returning to the "Katas ng Pi," or "The Fruits of Pi," I already shared in my main account the story about it.
On the second day of Pi launch, I sold 300 Pi for 12,800.00 PHP and bought the above pizza and Starbucks coffee to treat staff in our office.
The following day, my brother-in-law was able to sell his 612 Pi at a higher price and cashed out 35,000.00+ PHP and gave my son 1,000.00, which we used to buy that Jolibee chicken for our dinner.
And so that's the short story of a heartfelt despedida party for Sis. Ness, celebrating her six years of service with pizza, ice cream, and a special gathering with colleagues.
