You are responsible for the Outcome of Your Life.
I was disturbed in my mind to write on this topic about three days ago. I don't know why it is so, maybe someone needs to read this and have a change of mind just as I did some years ago.
About a year ago, I had this belief that no one is responsible for the outcome of their lives, that the life we are living is predetermined hence, we are just walking through to fulfil what has already been arranged for us. Hence, whatever one does will only lead to the fulfilment of one's purpose in life. However, some people are still holding onto this belief system, this popular saying that “what's gonna be will be, and nothing one can do about it” I beg to differ on this aspect of philosophy. The life we're living is never predetermined, man is responsible for the outcome of his life. The decisions and the choices we make determine the outcome of our lives. Therefore what a man sows, is what he reaps.
The life we live has presented us with lots of choices, therefore what we choose becomes the outcome or result of our decision. What a person wants to become in life is a product of his choice, with no supernatural element to influence our choices and decisions. The earlier a person realizes this the better for such a person.
We have seen situations where people sit back, fold their hands and expect miracles to happen to them. Miracles in areas like, good health, provisions, help and support without doing anything that will facilitate these longings. They expect that luck will just locate them wherever they are. This is a wrong mindset that has fueled laziness and lack of innovation among people. People were meant to work to eat, but we see people who choose not to work but expect money to eat. Where will the money and food come from?
Blame Game
This is an aspect that many people have fed their failures with. They have multiple excuses for why they have not succeeded or why they have not performed a task successfully. An excuse is only a reason for failure and not success. Anyone who blames another for anything that happens to him is not wise. You are meant to take responsibility for your life and not blame another person. The first evidence of a failure is that he blames another person for his failure. It is high time we took responsibility for our actions rather than play the blame game. It is unwise to allow another to determine the outcome of your life. Why put your future in the hands of another, such that you will have to blame him for your failure?
It is time to rise and do things that will affect our lives positively and not hide under the excuse that, whatever life brings you, you take it. Life will only give you what you first gave it. Outside this, you will remain in obscurity till death. Rise and take responsibility for your life.
