For the past few days, I have been sharing with you various photographs that I have taken from various puja pandals in Kolkata.
Today I will share some beautiful photographs taken from one such puja pandal. You all know that this year our biggest religious festival Durga Puja is already over. This year I went to see Puja in Calcutta on Panchami but I went during the day. With a lot of time on my hands, I had the opportunity to visit a few famous puja pandals. In yesterday's blog I shared with you some photographs taken from the pooja pandal of "Tridhara Sammilani" in South Kolkata but before going to that pandal I visited the pooja pandal of "Deshpriya Park".
Today I will share a few words about this puja pandal and some photography that I have taken from the place...
Deshpriya Park Pujo Pandal is one of the big Durgo Festival pandals held every year in South Kolkata. This year they celebrated their 85th year. The puja pandal committee of this place surprises people by creating different themes every year. This year also they celebrated Durgotsava by organizing a very beautiful theme.
Their theme this year was a palace. They made the Rajbari so beautiful that there was no difference from the original Rajbari. Beautiful lighting was arranged in this pooja pandal. That's why the place was getting crowded at night.
Considering the crowd, I went here in the afternoon so I couldn't enjoy the full lighting. Still, this palace looked very beautiful in the daylight.
After entering inside the puja mandap, I found that they have done the interior decoration very well which you can understand by looking at my photography. This time the chandelier in their pandal was very big and very beautiful. Like every year this year also they made the idol of Maa Durga very beautifully.
