Wild turn of events! I can't believe Trump barely dodged a bullet at his rally in Pennsylvania. It's like something out of a movie, in real life, that is. I feel we are living in crazy times where a former president gets shot at during one of his campaign events. This whole thing gives me the creeps. I mean, Trump’s not my favorite guy, but nobody deserves to have their life threatened like that.
I'm glad Trump is OK, just a little nick in the ear. Man, my heart goes out to that poor guy Corey Comperatore who didn’t make it. Can you imagine going to a political event and never coming home? It’s tragic. I’ve been to a few rallies myself, and thoughts of violence breaking out really are scaring me now.
What’s in the mind of that shooter, Thomas Crooks? Twenty years old and to toss your life in the garbage like that? I mean, what pushed him to an extreme like this? It’s just indicative of how polarized our country is right now. I think we have to find a way to disagree without killing each other.
This whole incident has me worried about the upcoming election. Will there be more attempts like this? I hope not, but I bet security’s going to be intense at every political event from now on. What a sad time it has come to. I remember when politics was boring, now it feels like a powder keg.
Wonder what it will do for the campaign.
Will it get Trump more support? Put other candidates on greater alert? One thing’s for sure: It’ll be all that anybody talks about for weeks. I just hope it doesn’t inspire some copycats or further extremism.
I think we all really need to take a deep breath and remember that regardless of our political persuasion, we are all Americans. There is no place in our democracy for this kind of violence. Let’s hope cooler heads prevail as we move forward. It’s a wake-up call for all of us: time to tone down the rhetoric and find common ground. Easier said than done, I know, but we’ve got to try.

This is all I saw on youtube this morning. I decided to find other things to occupy my time today.
I think politics is the real problem. I do not know who is playing what kind of chess game but they are doing a damn good job with the divide and conquer strategy. Real dumb in my opinion.
You're 100 percent right.
I was of the opinion that some people may be playing a game here, but to go as far as killing, I think that's just ridiculous.
I saw a video of a man telling someone about the gunman and being ignored, even as he pointed to the gunman.
According to some news I read, the officer that took down the assassin, had him in sight for about 3 minutes but was instructed not to shot. He had to disobey instructions to take him down, and that has cost him his Job.
The more I hear about this the more I feel this was planned.
We would be better off if we voted out every single sitting politician. Every single one. No matter their party or political leaning.
Many say what we do? The new people have no experience...good. All of the "experience" is what took us to this place.
You've made a brilliant point there.
If everyone would just do this politics would be revolutionized in a decade, We don't need mandated term limits. We are term limits if we only chose to be.
indeed 💯

You said it right my friend. I can't believe there is someone who is willing to throw his life like that, maybe he has been brainwashed by the media or something, but it is so dangerous, I hope that things are doing ok for the people in USA after this incident.
Other people are also of the opinion that he might have been paid to do that.
Currently, there would be some considerable fear going into rallys, but over time it should be okay.
It also seems to be a blessing in disguise for trump, as it has shot his ratings up.
Thank you so much for reading and responding friend.🙏
