The latest and greatest thing AI is capable of doing is live search just like Google or other search engines used to do. This is a tremendous leap forward in AI capabilities because it'll mean that soon we won't call them GPTs (Generative Pre-trained Transformers). Of course I don't know the next name but it won't be pre-trained since AI will be learning on its own as people keep using and search and giving it prompts, instructions and most importantly data.
I think with how important search is for AI, they're improve very fast. I've already talked about how it'll look like but for emphasis I'll explain it, although let's be honest most people already understand how it'll work.
The AI Search Engine doesn't work like Google, Yahoo and other search engines by giving you a list of websites that could be the best response to your search query. Rather, they become more like a personal assist tool that processes your instruction or question and gives you the best answer right there. It makes Search easier and less stressful. Using AI search engines will feel like having a real conversation with the smartest person on the planet.
Let me give you a good example. Let's say you ask Google this question "What’s the best phone for photography under $500?" What you'll get is a lot of websites related to phones, camera quality and prices. It'll look something like the screenshot below:
But with AI search engines z they'll give you a solid recommendation based on actual analysis and of course all the data is still from the same internet. I think Google and other search engines need to act very fast in order to stay competitive against these AI tools. But let's be real, Google is not dumb to sit back and let AI run the show. If you check the Google website on Chrome and ask it a similar question, before they bring website links they have at the top of their app results from AI so they're also using the same strategy to keep their users.
