Arguably the fastest growing thing in our world today is the AI industry with many AI companies starting up and those that have already dominated like OpenAI and Anthropic and even Elon Musk's xAI pushing in new updates all the time.
I try very hard d to keep up with news regarding OpenAI updates because it's a lot. I already talked about their next GPT Model which I thought was going to be named GPT 5 but they're calling it Orion. A model you can expect to be about 100 times more powerful than the current gpt model.
I think chatgpt is getting closer in terms of number of users to giant social media platforms. Do you know their stats at the moment? Right now, they've got about 250 million people using their model every single week.
Just like how smart phones and the Internet got introduced and become a permanent part of our daily lives, chatgpt and perhaps other AI models might end up the same.
The interesting thing about Chatgpt is that it's not just the tech savvy people that are using it, even banks and big companies like Morgan Stanley are using AI to help their clients make better decisions.
We'll definitely get to a point where we don't need a lot of human involvement in making technical decisions like decisions regarding our financial investments. Just imagine an AI helping your financial advisor give you smarter advice or the AI replacing your financial advisor.
I believe that's the next phase of Artificial Intelligence. If AI tools can have access to live data and get better at studying our daily lives and activities, it might just have the ability to predict the best investments. I bet there'll be a day where you can ask ChatGPT what crypto to invest into and it can tell you and you'll be making profits without even thinking or being smart.
Also I see a rise in AI models that can build programs or softwares. Soon developers will be almost irrelevant. You could build an entire App just by giving chatgpt details on how it should look like and what it should do.
Also with Internet of Things (IOT) coming in, perhaps AI can control or regulate your home and work schedules. AI will know when to turn off the lights and devices to preserve energy so you save cost on bills. AI can reply messages you're feeling bored to reply.
Haven't you watched JARVIS AI in the Iron Man movie. Tony Stark literally created his Iron Man tech with assistance from an AI and the AI was designing things for him based on his preferences.
The future will be easy for people that can afford the best AI tools.
So to answer the main question of my blog, how far Will OpenAI go? It can potentially take over the world and our lives.
The world has survived thus far but with AI getting into the sentience mode I think we human beings better start considering a new planet for our safety haha.
