Hello, hivers! Welcome to my model kit review!
For this model kit review, I will be looking at a 1/144 scale model of a Handley Page HP-42 Heracles passenger airplane. This kit was manufactured by Airfix.
The HP-42 Heracles was a British built 4 engine bi-plane that first entered service in 1931. At the time it entered service, it was the largest passenger plane in the world. The HP-42 was designed as a long range passenger plane for use in Africa and India. There was a total of 4 of these airplanes built. There were several modifications to the plane during it's service life to increase passenger capacity, at the expense of luggage and cargo capacity. These airplanes flew until the beginning of WW2, when they were taken over by the British military. None of them survived past 1940.
For more information about this airplane, here is the Wikipedia link.
