I have continued my hunt for Star Wars stuff, specifically the vintage figures from the 70s and 80s. At the moment that era is my main focus for collecting, but I'm also on the lookout for some early 00s and early 2010s too.
Here's something I've wanted for a very long time.
No, no. Not the Gamorian Guard... The axe!
I don't know why, but it is something I've always wanted. Maybe it's because I own about 3 or 4 of these guys, but have never had a complete one before.
The axe seems to be stupidly pricey too, usually sitting somewhere between €20 - €30, but I managed to snaggletooth this one complete for €16.
I was going to say snag back there, but this is a Star Wars post.
Here's someone I don't technically own.
I have a few of these Lando Skiff guards for sale and was going to keep one since I don't own this figure, but then the same guy was selling this complete.
I have an unguent but not with his apron and briefcase.
Clothing items for these figures are so rare to come by, I've been on the hunt for these accessories for a while but have had no luck previously.
Good ole Klatuu, and complete!
His skirt is stupidly hard to come by too, at least for me it has been.
I asked the guy if he had any weapons for sale, and he pulled up these that he'd be happy to part with: the Scout Trooper, Rebel Blaster, and Chewies Bowcaster.
With these, I'll complete three other figures I own, and the hunt will be a bit narrower in future.
All of this cost €110, and the guy is insane when it comes to selling, not only does he have great prices, but he also creates mini-frenzies online when he starts posting new stuff. I get notified when he posts, but even that isn't enough sometimes, I just got very lucky with these catches.
My collection as it stands is very close to completion, once I have all of the figures, the next step will be completing them with their accessories.
I'm on the lookout for vehicles too, but for now, the figures are my main focus. Over the next while I'll get back into building and selling the Halo Megabloks stuff I have and with them shifted I'll have more space to display the star wars stuff, and I'll also have more money to spend on it too.
I wonder how many people were careful to keep these things in good condition in the early days. I don't think collecting was just a big thing and they were just toys, so parts got lost. Now everyone knows the value of everything and people with the money will pay for what they want. Even the charity shops will check certain items online.
Yeah man that's a nice score! Great job!
Nice collections.
