I had a bit of a back-and-forth with a guy for a couple of months about a deal on some Halo stuff he was getting rid of, over that time a few things came up and I wasn't able to make the purchase, but last week I worked out the details with him and finally picked the stuff up.
Over the course of a few days, the items made their way to Ireland and finally arrived, but I wasn't back home until today. The entire day in work I was excited to get back and check some of this stuff out.
So, everything is in bags similar to these two, and each bag has about 2-3 vehicles in them, alongside other bits and pieces.
In this entire lot, there are 2 very large vehicles (A pelican dropship, and an elephant), 4 large vehicles (a Wraith, Wolverine, Gremlin, Short Sword, and a Scorpion) and a bunch of medium-sized vehicles, (Banshee, Warthogs, Prowler, and a Wasp) there are also some smaller vehicles, (Ghosts, and Mongooses Mongeese?)
Here are a few more of the bags.
They were packaged fairly well, but what would have been great is if all of these bags were also packed within a black bin liner. I hate the thought of pieces falling out of a box, or getting lost in transit.
The first one I decided to tackle was the Wraith, and within a few short minutes, I had it together.
Luckily most of the sets are kind of half-constructed, which has made/ will make the process of getting them together much easier. They are very dusty, so once they're assembled I'll be going over them and cleaning them all.
It'll be a process, as there are stickers and decals on them which I'm cautious about, but it won't be too much of an issue.
Second up was the Wolverine, which I assembled within a very short space of time.
There are four pieces I'm not looking for, which should be in one of the bags.
Within the bag with the Wolverine were the turrets for the Elephant, and some parts of the Gremlin, so everything is here, albeit, separated into the wrong bags.
As you can see in this picture, one of the bag headlights, and some small ramps near the cockpit needs to be found.
I'll have this together in no time, in fact, I don't think it'll be too big of a process at all to get these sorted out.
Unlike the other lot I got which I'm still organising and constructing.
Here are 5 manuals which I have for 5 of the vehicles.
It's great having the manuals because the job of re-building them is so much easier with the physical paper. I really disliked having to use the phone, but for certain builds, it's the only thing available to me.
Today I haven't had a proper chance to really get into the stuff and start rebuilding, so I've decided that tomorrow I'll hit them properly. One thing holding me back is space, so I really need to organise my office before proceeding with the builds. After all, if I have nowhere to put these when they're built, should I start building?
All of these sets are fairly old - from the 2010's - so they're relatively rare today. It's great to have them, and I think they look deadly.
I really want to get the shelving sorted out ASAP, so I can display and appreciate them while I have them and they're waiting to sell.
