Do you still keep your children's old toys when they outgrow so that they can be used by the next siblings or do you give them away to your relatives or friends?

Greetings everyone,

How is everyone doing? I hope that we are all doing well. Today I'm gonna share the restoration of our 4-year-old bike. So back in the day, because we weren't rich, I wanted to keep as much as possible of any toys that were no longer used for our first child because we still had a plan when another blessing came, so they could still be used again. Because of this mindset, one of the toys that we set aside for our younger child was his big brother's bike. The bike was bought for about ₱2500 or the equivalent of $43.86 years ago when Carlo our first was still 4 years old.

Now that our youngest Lucas has grown and the bike we put aside is within his reach, we decided to fix it. And that's because I'm always in the city because of work, so I had hubby inspect what is needed for the repair.

After knowing what was needed I went downtown twice to buy the parts. First I bought a tire and tube parts worth ₱175 in total or $3.08 and the two pedals which cost ₱40 or $.70.

On my second return, I bought the balancer for ₱125 $2.20, and the horn that I bought for ₱35 or $.60.

To be honest, it also took a while to fix this bike because I only buy parts and drop down town when I go home to our place in the province. Besides there are many to choose from, the price is cheaper than the shops in our province.

unfortunately the pedals I bought did not fit so maybe one of these days I drop downtown again to look for another one.

After slowly completing the needed parts, hubby finished assembling the bike. We took it to the vulcanizing shop to put air on the tires and finally, we just gave the bike a good bath and it eventually looked good. Now finally Lucas is having fun with his big brother's bike and sometimes Carlo still wants to ride the bike but I tell him his too big for it already and maybe the tire will explode.😁

Anyway, that's all for me today guys. All photos are mine it's just I use a different model. Thank you so much for reading this far. Have a blessed and wonderful day everyone.😘
