That was my today's find -- met those ladies at some fashion display. It was a.... surprising, lets put it so. Next time when I see their "relatives" -- I will not be shocked as much as I was, hehe.
Thats a perfect image for decorating Toys Community's banner. Imho. I share it in hi-res (clickable).
There was a cool rusty vintage kidz bike. Every, every kid passing by wanted to try it! And all got tonns of fun.
While I was walking around with the camera, the kids fearlessly and without any hesitation or asking permission, opened the lid of the suitcase (which I photographed above, and of course did not open). They opened it and actively were checking its contents. Moreover, not only children felt the desire to pick up and touch these toys, but also their parents and grand-daddies (I did not see grandmothers at the exhibition, apparently they stayed at home with their knitting).
Just look at his face! It sounds like an extasy and anticipation.
Maybe, he had a toy car like this in his childhood?..
Babyrigl and her mother are waiting, till her daddy (on the right) will live thru his five minutes of nostalgia :P
I caught a characteristic moment, the kid has this kind of look: "My eyes run wide, I cannot focus on a certain thing, I cant decide what to choose and beg: Daaaaad, please can you buy me this ... or this? or that? Or this and this and that, too? I want all of it!"
Я поймал характерный момент, смотрите какой взгляд у ребенка: "Просто глаза разбегаются! Что же выбрать и выпросить, папа купи то... или купи это? или ито и то и еще вот это?"
Another temptation is badges. I don't really understand why they attracted modern children so much (maybe they are some special, rare infant specimens? Which are not collected by different models of iPhones and not stickers on VKontakte, but vintage badges? It's hard to believe, to be honest). One of the boys very much asked to buy him an Octobrist badge ... dad refused (apparently for ideological reasons). All of these badges are not rare, well-spread and inexpensive (50 rubles = 0.7 dollars). Perhaps buying a badge and spending 50-100 rubles will help satiate the shopping disease? but I believe that such young children do not have this disease yet!
While I was writing this post, all of the time I remembered that grown-ups have their toys, too.
These are one of them. Well, and all the cars I ve seen at the exhibition, too, as well.
:P
Remote controlled cars models, oooh! adults are also big fans of these toys.
Damn, I cannot stop, but its 4 AM and I have to go to sleep! so many great stuff, I just go thru my 1300 pics, trying to sort them out, and add, ad, add them to my post :P
Ok, this would be the last one. Look whom I found. Thats an old good pal Bender !!! He was not for sell, ofc.
location: | St.Petersburg, Russia | April 2021 | artificial lighting |

Thanks for visiting my blog. Have a good cup of morning coffee, and a great weekend.
Really toys are nostalgic events for all even adults and teenagers too, i feel some kind of memories or lost about it, but remote control toys still are good attraction and now a days drone are becoming more popular, have a nice day.
glad, you like the story and visuals. cheers!
OMG, that Bender is priceless! I would definitely make a spot for him in my house.
Those old toys are pretty neat. I also like to go to some of the local antique shops, though instead of toys I usually come back with a new antique camera. Nostalgia is a good word, though the toys of my youth were primarily plastic. I love those old metal toys; they were built to last.
o-ooh! and how many vintage cameras do you have, then?..
dont collect them, but its a cool stuff, I dont mind my grannys will provide me some at the attic ;) but no... I still posess the Zenit ET film camera I used in 2000-es. but its not that great, hehe. If I would go to antiques, I probably come back with old papers, posters, books. and manual lenses, of course!
ps. Today was the day 2 - I've took some more pictures with Bender, Sadly, it was located at such a bad spot, any angle you take, you are having a bad background :) but I will post some of them, definitely! Nice, that he has his slice of glory and appreciation! - !BEER and !ENGAGE 10 for you.

This is pretty cool, I can't say I ever saw a vintage toy sale like this. The bender at the end must be quite to piece
yea! Bender was full size and very, very heavy. and not for sale absolutely.
There were, I think, hundreds of thousand pieces there!
O nice, bet you can find some really great old toys
What a lot of toys, those cargo trucks reminded me of when I was a kid;, thx for sharing your photos.
hehe, this! exactly the reason (I think) while those grown-ups step back and stand by, while passing it ;)
These images are fascinating, in my country there are many of those toys, old ones without wheels and that is how children play, because they have no other option.
где они достали эти ржавые машинки)
раритет - да, но не 200 лет прошло же, у нас советские игрушки все в более презентабельном виде)
да? и что же интересненького у вас есть? открывай закрома!
