RE: What are your concerns about Holozing?

in Ask the Hive3 months ago

I played a lot of P2E games and all start great until inflation kills the token price and then interest in the game wanes. How would Holozing avoid this and keep attracting new players to keep the game sustainable? Maybe instead of a P2E model, make an entertaining game that people will love to play and the tokens are just secondary consideration. More like play and earn rather than play to earn.

We definitely don't wanna overcomplicate things with a focus on p2e, the soft-launch we have planned will also give casual players a chance to participate and pick when they get their daily encounters, I guess it'll be something like "I don't wanna miss out so I'll just participate if I can" initially. We will also mainly only focus on one token while keeping nfts tradable and in-game materials for professions untradable.

In terms of deciding zing costs we'll try our best to figure out the best method of determining how much things should cost but players being aware that this cost doesn't go to the team but just removes the tokens from supply - thus burning, might work in our favor. So it'll be a battle of daily inflation based on funding needs and how much people are burning based on their wants and needs to progress with their goals, be it to replenish healer mana, creature moves, an active team, progress in professions, to create new items, etc.
