Saludos amigos, hoy quería hacer un retrato en blanco y negro y esta vez no solo porque quería estudiar mejor las sombras y luces sino también porque siento que las fotografías y dibujos en blanco y negro aportan ese nivel de nostalgia que tanto me gusta, hoy no ha sido un día muy bueno para mí, he estado de muy mal humor, me siento algo triste, molesta y estresada asi que solo pensé en pintar algo de este estilo que me ayudara a drenar un poco estos sentimientos, aunque aun me siento un poco mal, me animó pintarlo y ver el resultado final, espero que les guste.

Greetings friends, today I wanted to do a black and white portrait and this time not only because I wanted to study better the shadows and lights but also because I feel that black and white photographs and drawings bring that level of nostalgia that I like so much, today has not been a very good day for me, I have been in a very bad mood, I feel a little sad, upset and stressed so I just thought of painting something in this style to help me drain a little of these feelings, although I still feel a little bad, I was encouraged to paint it and see the final result, I hope you like it.

Proceso/Process

Realice un boceto de un rostro y esta vez quería un rostro con bastante acercamiento, ya que se me hace un poco más fácil de esta manera, empecé a añadir grises oscuros y claros para definir donde estaría la luz y oscuridad, en una nueva capa aplique mas colores para terminar de formar el rostro por completo, luego comencé a difuminar y a mezclar para tener una piel suave.

I made a sketch of a face and this time I wanted a face with a lot of close up, since I find it a little easier this way, I started adding dark and light grays to define where the light and dark would be, in a new layer I applied more colors to finish forming the face completely, then I started blurring and blending to have a smooth skin.

Termine de darle detalles al rostro e igualmente a los ojos, también difumine el cuello y empecé a pintar con gris oscuro el cabello, luego aplique algunos reflejos de grises claros para darle mejor acabado al cabello, también añadí algunas partes negras para crear mas volumen, agregue una capa donde ilumine algunas zonas del rostro y finalmente pinte líneas negras que simulan grietas y bordes blancos para darle mayor profundidad y realismo.

I finished giving details to the face and also to the eyes, I also blurred the neck and started to paint the hair with dark gray, then I applied some light gray highlights to give a better finish to the hair, I also added some black parts to create more volume, I added a layer where I illuminated some areas of the face and finally I painted black lines that simulate cracks and white edges to give more depth and realism.
