I thought about using the other meaning of ‘nude’ as it relates to color. I changed my mind and went with the usual meaning instead. Lately, I’ve gone back to learning about the human anatomy, so this prompt proved to be good practice.
For the first nude female figure, I painted without sketching with a pencil. Here I tried to gauge my understanding of how to place figures in a space without messing up their proportions. It turned out really cool.
The second figure was more about testing my knowledge on forms, muscles in particular. I was really pleased with myself when I was able to continue the painting from below the waist. The photo of the model pretty much stopped at the waist. I used my fore knowledge to give a hint that , his hips jut out at the side.
For the paintings, I made use of Van Gogh watercolor, rotring pencil and my Sinoart sketchbook

I'm pretty sure art with the use of anatomic knowledge is my favorite of them all!
Your figures are mesmerizing, delicate and beautiful! Your study of proportions is goig good for sure - and I also love the color palette you selected for the female one!
