There are several people who want to propose to Dewi Songgo Langit. Among them were Klono Sewandono from Wengker, Toh Bagus the envoy of Singo Barong from Blitar, kalawraha a duke from the south coast, and 4 soldiers from Blitar. The applicants together took part in a competition held by Dewi Songgo Langit. They departed from their respective places to Kediri to apply for Dewi Songgo Langit.

From some of the applicants, they met on the street and had a fight before joining the contest in Kediri. In that war, Klana Sewandono or Pujangganom won. In that war Pujangganom won and Singo Ludoyo lost. At the time of Singo Ludoyo's defeat, it seemed that Ludoyo had an appointment with Pujangganom. Lion Ludoyo asked not to be killed. Pujangganom apparently agreed to the deal. However, Pujangganom has a condition that is Singo Barong must accompany his friend with Dewi Sangga Langit to Wengker.

The convoy of friends must be accompanied by jaran-jaran by passing underground accompanied by musical instruments made of bamboo and iron. In this day and age this iron becomes kenong. And the bamboo became a Trumpet and a jaranan.

All the photos I use are of the moment when the BARONG SEJATIM event was held in the city of SURABAYA, East Java, INDONESIA and I happened to be one of the participants.
