Hey friends,
Compliments of the season. As part of my ambitious goal to learn how to draw in the upcoming year, i decided to start the learning even before the start of 2023 just to keep myself motivated.
Today I learned and practiced how to draw and Shade a Cylinder in the presence of light.
The Process
I started the drawing by drawing an oval shape to represent the top of the cylinder.
Then I drew two straight lines to represent the sides of the cylinder.
I also drew another oval circle at the bottom, and I cleaned the part of the bottom oval that appears inside the cylinder since, it's not supposed to be seen.
I also added a light source by the side of the cylinder, and i shaded the the cylinder and it's shadows.
This is my fourth attempt at the drawing practice.
The cylinder was made with a HB pencil and a paper.
I remain committed to learning how to draw in 2023.
That being said, the drawing was fun 😊.
I'm open to feedback on anything that will enhance my drawing from members of this community.
